When we got to reception they told us that they had no record of our booking. We were told to wait around in reception until the could sort something out. While we were wating another group of...

First of all, we booked for double bed and what we got was a bunk bed. They told that they had totally over booked their double rooms and "it happens all the time". We got a little discount though. The room it self was really small and cold (no heater). Floor was totally tilted to every direction and looked like...

I stayed at the Chelsea Spot for 2 days last weekend. It was ok but nothing to write home about. The rooms were very small(I was in an 8 person dorm room and there was just enough room to walk in the middle). The beds were horrible and very noisy. Every little move I made resulted in the whole bed...

After seeing all of the bad reviews that this hostel had gotten I must admit that I wasn't expecting the best, but seeing that I had already booked it we weren't changing our plans. Upon arriving we were told check-in was at 2, not 1 like the website had said. But that was okay because it allowed us time to...

I made reservations three weeks prior to arrival date and received confirmation the same day via e-mail. They charged me booking fees right away. On the day of arrival I called to get directions, and they told me they were sold out. The manager confirmed that his records had indicated that the reservation had been made but he was not...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
