Great location, beautiful space, great food. What more could you ask for? Ambience very unique/bespoke too--not 'standard' hotel room. I stayed for both work and pleasure, and the business facilities were also excellent, especially the catering. I will definitely be returning.
oh my gosh! If you haven't had the opportunity to stay at 1 Central Park, make it a must on your list. From the moment you walk in, it feels like an organic sanctuary. Live plants and organic fabrics and wood accents everywhere. It smells delicious in this lobby! Staff was outstanding and very attentive. Details were very apparent here. We absolutely loved how close to Central Park we were, location is excellent! Thanks for a great stay in the City!
This is a great hotel, and I loved the live plants everywhere and the repurposed wood decor. The only negative thing I have to say is that there needs to be more kid-friendly food on the menu at Jams. Other than that, everything was perfect.
I had a reservation on City side but upgraded to a suite on Central Park & also saw the city. What a nice, quiet room. It smelled great. Very relaxing. Probably needed a tutorial on the lights. The staff were very nice & helpful. Jam’s restaurant is attached to the hotel but suggest make reservations. It was central to stores & shows
Unusual place. Lots of wood in rooms. Greenery everywhere. Did not expect all that but found it soothing. Proximity to the park is great. Also Starbucks across the street. Hotel coffee is standard Nespresso type taste. Good to be able to get a great coffee accords the street. Rita at front desk very good. Lobby staff very good. Rooms small though. Might not work for a couple? Good for a single biz traveler.
Stayed for two nights on business. Welcoming, cool use of natural woods / grasses / etc to create a unique feel. Great gym, great location, friendly staff, have everything you need to be productive. Didn’t get a chance to visit the restaurant but heard it was very good. Highly recommend.
This is a very well located, slightly different, hotel. The message throughout is one of sustainability and there are plants wherever you look in the communal areas. The hotel is located a few hundred metres from Central Park and various other prime locations are a short walk away, including Times Square and the Rockefeller Center. The room was very attractively decorated and the shower was excellent. There were also other standard amenities, including a coffee machine, steamer, mini bar and well sized TV. The staff were excellent and the stay was thoroughly enjoyable.
I traveled to 1 Hotel for a business conference that was held in the property. My 25 year old daughter who joined me is very much into sustainability and loved the decor and the theming. It is really unique and nice. Service is great. Rooms are really cool but on the small side which is pretty normal in NYC. One block from Central Park overall wonderful location.
The room orientation was to the back courtyard with no natural light, so it was very dark and very noisy due to the air condition equipment located in the backyard. The room thermostat didn’t work properly, and the system responsiveness was very slow. The service at Jams was terrible, very slow more than 30 mins for an orange juice and scrambled eggs! And the Margarita was just horrible…
I stayed for one week at 1 hotel Central Park. The experience was good/average but totally overpriced to pay 750$ per night during fashion week. The location and breakfast are great but also overpriced. Overall I would rather add a lmittle biit on top and stay at a 5 star hotel for this price.
