The convenience of Hospital for Special Surgery to the hotel is PRICELESS, however the aging of the carpeting, walls, bathroom and room is hard to miss. You just have to remind yourself I am only here for some sleep.

In stead of driving to the city two days in a row, my husband and stayed at the Hemsley Towers in preparation for my surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering. The facility is walking distance to the hospital and many local restaurants. We arrived early for checking in and the female employee at the front desk upgraded our room to one...

My husband and I stayed at the Helmsley Towers the night before my surgery at HSS. The service was great, room was clean , beds were comfortable and it even had a kitchen! There was a parking garage attached to the hotel and the hospital was around the corner! I highly recommend anyone looking for a reasonably priced excellent place...

I had the opportunity to stay at the New York Presbyterian Guest facility while teaching at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This happened from March 29 to April 3, 2017. I appreciated the cleanliness and pleasant location of my room. The kitchen was well arranged , very functional. The bathroom was also very functional. The bed room was comfortable...

The rooms are all suites with kitchens. They are very comfortable and clean and the location of the Hemlsley Medical Tower is great right near four major hospitals. Staying here relieved so much stress. The staff is warm and extremely helpful. Special thanks to Stephanie!

Overall my stay was wonderful and very convenient. The room was very spacious and clean. It was very nice knowing I was very close to my dad. There was a 24 hour deli right below the hotel. The staff was very kind and accommodating, they allowed us to check in early, due to the fact there was a room available.

This hotel is in a condo building. It had the worst mattress I have had in years, hard as a rock. And it was impossible to control the temp to cool the room for sleeping. No restaurant, no vending machines, no ice. A tiny bathroom, and the room and hotel needs updating.

It was only .1 mile from Sloan Kettering and a safe walk there. Staff was kind and very helpful especially with the changing dates of medical needs. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Would return in a heartbeat

Great staff and management. Very sensitive to the flexibility needed by guests involved with health care issues. My wife and I have been coming here for years dealing with treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and it's often the best "fun" of the visit!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
