The hotel room -1107 was up to standard, kept clean and free enough for even a couple. The breakfast was also up to standard and the hotel is very magnanimous, offering fruits, yogurt and cereal free and as much as one wanted

very happy with the "quaint" accommodations. by that i mean the room was a throw back to earlier times but it made the room cozy. location was excellent & service very good. because i was here to be with family i did not spend alot of time at the hotel. but i would definitely recommend it.

There's so much good about this hotel, it's a shame the actual accommodations would keep me from returning. First the good: location, gracious staff, free Wifi, complimentary breakfast, comfortable beds. The bad: understaffed front desk, worn, stained, chipped furnishings and carpets, no individual room temperature controls, inconsistent amenities between rooms. We switched rooms because the heat couldn't be controlled in...

On a business trip last week, this was the only one of our firm's preferred Manhattan hotels to come inside budget, so my expectations were pretty low. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised: Location is good, on Lexington and E 47th. There is noise from the busy streets, so a higher floor might be preferable. Decor is...

If you’re looking for a quaint, cozy, vintage place to stay, The Roger Smith hotel is for you. The rooms feel more like a country bed and breakfast than a hotel in the heart of NYC. I felt like I was in someone’s home. A friend made the reservation and honestly, I may not have chosen such a place but...

By far this is my favorite hotel in Manhattan. Not only is it in a great location (just a few blocks from Grand Central), it's also affordable, compared to some high priced hotels in the city. Although it doesn't offer a fitness center or restaurant, they offer round the clock refreshments in the lobby and a happy hour bar. Rooftop...

Staying at the Roger Smith Hotel in midtown Manhattan was a delightful experience that gave us a nostalgic glimpse of life in slower, less frenzied, and more personal times. The lobby is small, simple and comfortable, and the "Junior Suite" spacious, well-appointed and quiet (except for some traffic noise which goes with the territory). Value is good and location is...

Another pleasant stay at this mid-town hotel, good-sized well- appointed rooms and lovely friendly home from home atmosphere - the staff could not be more welcoming or helpful. I will definitely stay again next time in New York. Thoroughly recommended - for business or leisure.

You will be hard pressed to find another hotel in Manhattan that offers the space, the convenience, and the top level service for the price. From the free yogurt/granola and green apples in the lobby, to the beautiful "old school" rooms, and the central location, it is fantastic. I have stayed here several times when I visit NYC for business, and...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
