There was a lot of noise in the hallways especially in the morning. Rooms are very small, probably smaller than many NY hotels in general.. The lobby area is nice and there is a bar downstairs. Other than that it was OK

Have stayed at this charming hotel before and therefore happy to return. Booked through a website and got an ok deal. Led me to believe no additional costs beyond minibar and breakfast. Even when I checked in, no mention of additional charges. Imagine my shock when checking out to be charged a "facilities fee" of $31+tax per night. Won't be...

We enjoyed a great stay at The Roger in early January. The front desk and doormen are friendly and helpful. Although we only had coffee in the breakfast area, the service was attentive. The beds are comfortable and although the room is a typical NYC size (cozy!) there was plenty of storage and a small refrigerator.

The Roger is our boutique hotel of choice in Midtown. We travel to NYC often for business and pleasure and have returned to The Roger time after time. The staff is outgoing and friendly, the rooms are super comfortable and clean making the overall experience the best Midtown has to offer!

Hello, I stayed last week at the roger but It was terrible because the heating system (room 515) did not work and I got sick during my stay at the Roger. This should never happen in a hotel like this.

I frequent The Roger Hotel when my travels take me to New York. In December 2016, I was in New York for a three day business trip, immediately followed by a personal stay. My husband and children joined me for the weekend. The stay was great for both occasions. The staff is always accommodating! One night we came back from...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown off Madison Park, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of the Roger’s public spaces is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta. A collaboration of renowned talent has distinguished a transitional hotel that caters to the demands of the modern traveler and local tastemakers alike. The vaulted lobby lounge provides an ideal space for any time of day or occasion, from morning business meetings to lunch with family, or catching up over cocktails with friends. To update the spacious guest rooms, the Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM, whose timeless original design has kept travelers returning year after year. Jaffe’s new rooms are characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building’s unique rooms and inviting terraces. Whether for only a night or a weeks long stay, the Roger is the savvy traveler’s home away from home. ... more   less
