Hotel was as good as expected and reviewed by others. Externally it is unassuming but internally it is nicely decorated and has some quality features. Front desk staff were very polite and helpful and took the time to make you feel at home. We were on the 16th floor and the room was well laid out and had everything you...

This was my first time staying at the San Carlos and it will not be my last. I was there for a business trip and the location is amazing. it is a block away from one of the many Subway lines that take you all around Manhattan. The room was clean, comfortable and bigger than what you may find at...

Our family had a 9 night stay over Xmas . We had a deluxe Double Queen room on the 3rd floor. Absolutely no view but we were in our room so little it didn't matter. Good to have a fridge and microwave in our room, which we put to use. Location was fantastic with a subway metro close. Also we...

Visit was over a month ago, but it was my first chance to do a review. Myself, my daughter and granddaughter decided to visit NYC to see a Broadway show and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. It was only about 3 weeks prior to our trip that I started trying to make a reservation. After many calls, not finding a...

My husband, 9 year old daughter and I visited NYC on 12/28-12/29/2016. The price of the small suite was comparable to a standard room in larger NYC hotels. I have been traveling to NYC for years and this room was by far the largest hotel room I have ever seen in NYC. We were allowed to check-in early around 1...

Paid a reasonable amount of money by NYC standards and was shocked at how big the room was. Staff was very friendly whenever encountered. They do have free breakfast but it is minimal - don't expect something epic. But anyone travelling, particularly a family of four, this is an outstanding option. Will definitely be back.

We had to last minute change our hotel and someone suggested this place. Our luggage was delayed and they were so helpful in getting it to us and communicating with FedEx. We slept great and breakfast was perfect. Close to everything we needed and we could walk anywhere!!

Service was friendly and prompt. We had 2 rooms for a family of 5. The second room was a suite. The rooms were large for new york. The suite faced the road and was quite noisy especially at night. Our other room was quiet. The breakfast was free and basic with apples yogurt some pastries and toast. Few minutes walk...

The staff was great! They all made us laugh while we were checking in and out. A lady was very helpful with helping us decide where to eat. Room was prepared well, the only thing was that it was smaller than pictured. Mini bar is too pricey to use. And lastly, the breakfast was very limited, even right when they...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
