This was such an enjoyable stay. The staff was so friendly, the room was clean and HUGE (for new york). We arrived early and the room was ready and we didn't have to pay for early check-in. The staff was responsive to our questions via text/call. We will absolutely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would absolutely stay here again. Such an awesome place to stay in the city!

This apartment/hotel was worth the money. The staff are helpful and you get complimentary water at the reception and other goodies in the room. Everything was great the beds especially the sofá bed and pillows are immaculate and so comfortable. The front desk are efficient and helpful over the phone and the cleaning staff are great, always helpful and clean the room when you want it cleaned. The location is right opposite wall street station (the entrance to this station is sometimes closed) but is local to several other subways. It always a walking distance from fulton centre where there’s loads of affordable places to eat considering it being in the financial district such as chic-fil-a.
Lastly, the building is very nice and and safe place to stay in general. I would highly recommend this hotel as it was quite spacious and had nice features such as the painting and the vinyl set along with the white noise player
Trendy, Medium Priced and greatly located
Only downside I would say is to provide a dish rack. I don’t really use dishwashers and there was no place to dry dishes that were hand washed.!
Loved it

So much can be said about the Lyric at 70 Pine. There are so many positives about staying here. It starts at check in, everyone was so professional, informative and helpful. They great you with a smile and explain in detail everything you need to know about the facilities as well as getting settled in to your room. Once you open the door and enter your HUGE apartment style room you’ll know you made the right choice for accommodations. The rooms are the closest thing to feeling like being at home I’ve ever experienced. Clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchens are fully stocked with everything you need. They have goodies, coffee, tea, water and snacks waiting for you free of additional charges. There is an abundant amount of closet space in each unit, including multiple dressers for all of your personal items. We personally loved the white noise machine for drowning out the very little city noise when trying to sleep. Speaking of sleep, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Every night of sleep was the best night of sleep in my life. The location of the hotel is perfect In my opinion. Just far enough away from downtown to feel like you’re able to wind down from the fast pace of the city. There is a subway stop directly across the street, so you can literally jump on one train and be at any of the numerous popular city spots in a matter of 5-20 minutes. There is a grocery store on site and numerous food options within a minute or less walk. The 9/11 memorial and many other popular attractions are within a half mile or 10 minute walk away. Also, if you pack lite or are there for a extended amount of time, it’s very nice to be able to do laundry on facility. Again, there’s a million things that can be said for this place. Not one being negative in my opinion. We enjoyed our stay very much and 100% will be staying at the Lyric every time we visit New York!

I traveled to NYC to visit my college-aged daughter and to see a show. I was shocked by the large-sized clean, modern room. It was well laid out with a small sitting area away from the sleeping area so the night owls in our party could have their space without bothering my early bedtime. There was a well outfitted kitchen area and a large bathroom. The closet was almost as large as the bathroom and inside the closets were great surprises, like soft bathrobes.
Others mentioned being bothered by outside noise. I did not experience loud outside noise. But if I had a problem there were ear plugs and a white noise machine in the closet.
The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. At 700 sq. ft., It was very spacious. The best part of all were the vinyl records and turntable in the room! It was such a treat to listen to good quality vinyl.
I had a few glitches. Two of my family's devices could not connect to the internet. We also could not seem to get regular cable channels. We called the desk a few times for assistance and got no answer. That's not good. There was a tag on the door offering a tote bag, but no tote bag was present. It seems like a tiny issue, but I really wanted the tote bag. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Lyric at 70 Pine.

Ugh, so close to a perfect stay! I am truly sorry that you encountered some technical issues during your stay. But what bothers me most is that you received no response from our team when you were looking for assistance. Understandably, technology does fail sometimes, but that's why we have a team to assist. I am sorry that we failed to get these technical issues resolved before you departed. I hope you give us a second chance, we would love to earn that 5th star from you! I would also love to get you that tote bag. If you can provide our Hosts with your mailing address, we can send one out to you!

I stayed at the Lyric in May 2019 so when I decided to return in January, I booked to stay at the Lyric without any hesitation. The reasons for staying at the Lyric are multiple. Let’s start with the value proposition. You get a full kitchen with a very comfortable and large room with a comfortable bed, loads of storage space, funky records with a turntable a well as welcome chocolates and chips. There are also bath robes, a good sized bathroom and a daily room service. I also appreciated the friendliness of the staff who went out of their way to make sure that my stay was comfortable. For example, when the TV streaming service was not working, they quickly moved me to another room. There is also a laundry with a large number of washers and driers which work efficiently.
If you like Art Deco, the Lyric is located in a magnificent 1930s skyscraper. The foyer has been restored to one of the most stunning Art Deco designs that I have seen. The elevators are fast and reliable. Also, if you like great coffee, there is a fantastic cafe just off the foyer called the Black Fox with coffee which matches a Melbourne cafe experience. Friendly staff and a convenient location ensured that this was my daily place for breakfast. The Lyric is also located close to the Wall Street and Fulton Street subway stations as well as easy access to the 9/11 memorial and museum and Westfield and Century 21 shopping precincts. Overall great value for money and a hotel that will be make your New York stay an enjoyable experience.

For less than the price of a small room in a Midtown hotel, we had a wonderfully furnished one-bedroom suite with living room, kitchen area and 2 full bathrooms. Moreover, the location in the Financial District proved to be very convenient, since the Lyric is easy walking distance to subways heading to both the West Side and the East Side, as well as Midtown. And the staff were great! All in all, I can't imagine a better choice for Manhattan!

I booked as a last minute, overnight getaway in Manhattan with a great deal. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel! It is in a beautiful art deco building, convenient to the FDR, subway station, Wall Street, Battery Park, 9-11 Memorial and Freedom Tower, South Street Seaport and piers, close to many wonderful restaurants and Irish Pubs :). The room was impeccable, beautifully decorated, spotless and had more amenities than we could ever need (full kitchen, water, chips, chocolate covered almonds, coffee and tea in the room and more available in the lobby!!!). There is a record player in each room with albums plus more albums to chose from in the lobby. The king size bed was super comfy (Casper mattress, I believe). I loved the shampoo/conditioner and body wash, had to order some for home. From check in to check out the front desk staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful (Clarissa and Kevin, I think). I am so happy to have found the Lyric hotel. I will definitely stay there again when visiting NYC.

We love hearing this type of feedback from our guests. Our team put an incredible amount of time & effort into the design and amenities of the room. It seems there hard work paid off! Claritza & Kevin are two of our best, I will be sharing this with them as a testament to their hard work. Whether you are planning ahead or need another last-minute place to stay, the team here at Lyric will be waiting with warm smiles =D. See you soon, @margaretkA4633LV

Incredible property - huge rooms in an amazing art deco skyscraper and a very quiet part of the city. The rooms have high ceilings and are very well appointed with comfortable and useful furnishings including a turntable and a great selection of vinyl. The bed is very comfortable and lots of additional bedding is provided. Service is top notch and very attentive - my wife and I were there for our anniversary and were nicely surprised with rose petals leading to the bed and on the bed one evening. Nice and very unexpected touch. The gym, which is included for guests staying at the hotel, has everything you could possibly need and is not overly crowded. There is a market attached to the property that is open late and has a huge selection of both prepared food and groceries in case you want to stay in and cook instead of eating out. Location couldn't be better - close to the 2 and 3 subway lines for quick access uptown, walking distance to great restaurants including Nobu downtown and Joe's pizza (a NYC institution) and walking distance to One World Trade, Chinatown, the Brooklyn Bridge and Little Italy. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed in a studio here for a couple of months. Much bigger than a typical hotel room. Comes with standard kitchen stuff such as utensils, cookware, and plates (no rice cooker though sadly). Internet was pretty fast and stable all throughout the building (except elevators). One con is the lack of sunlight due to the surrounding buildings and Mint House only occupying floor 2-6 of 70 pine. This was further compounded by the somewhat lacking lighting inside the rooms.
Excellent location for the 2/3/4/5 trains (which go uptown or to Brooklyn easily). Good selection of food within a 5 min walk (my favorites for everyday were Dig and Blue Park Kitchen). The attached grocery store was convenient for small/rushed purchases but grossly overpriced for consistent shopping.
The 24/7 front desk was awesome. They did a great job with packages and guiding food delivery people upstairs. The complimentary monthly cleanings were well done (remember to ask for them if you are staying for a while). The few times I made requests (extra hangers, some Lysol, etc) they were granted quickly.

Many a times we’ve stayed in a hotel just to feel we’ve wasted $300 on an uncomfortable bed and a shower thats too small. Lyric pulls out all the stops. Total luxury through and through. A record player and small collection in each room, nice TV’s, super comfy beds, beautiful kitchens and bathrooms, and every amenity you could hope for. You can tell thought and care was put into each item you’ll encounter.
Customer service is outright top notch. Extremely accommodating - if they can do it complimentary, they will. Parking conveniently located with 2 garages within a block, they validate for both. A nice market in the basement of the building. If you’re traveling for work or play, you’d never need to leave campus and will have everything you need for an incredible stay!

Hi Deborah. I did receive that same request and I complied. I am a regular guest there. The hotel has very good security and I expect they want to make sure guests are protected. (I have also observed some celebrity sitings there as well!) You can call and ask about this if you are concerned.
Safe travels,
KC
