We stayed at Mint House for seven nights in Sept 22 and found the apartment (deluxe 1 bedroom) to be well sized for our family of six (6). Mint House is well located, with a subway station on weekdays directly opposite and have lots of options for food, and it is good to be away from the heavy tourist areas.
We absolutely loved staying at Mint House and loved the beautiful Art Deco building and the FiDi location. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable. The few requests we made (like foam pillows and bar stools for the counter) were promptly answered. Rob and Brie were particular standouts among the staff. They always greeted us warmly and were receptive to any suggestions we made on how to take Mint House from a five star property to a five star plus property. We loved having a full kitchen and the convenience of having City Acres in the building. We also ate at Crown Shy (what a plus to have a Michelin star restaurant in the building), and had a workout in the spacious and well-equipped fitness center in the basement. Now that we have experienced Mint House, we can't imagine staying anywhere else in Manhattan. We will definitely book again at Mint House on our next trip to the Big Apple!…
Me and my girlfriend stayed in a deluxe studio apartment for 10 nights. On arrival the staff member was friendly and helpful with providing information about the hotel and our booking. The apartment was very clean and had many amenities such as coffee, sugar etc for when we arrived and was restocked daily if needed. House keeping was good. All appliances worked well. The bathroom was clean and easy to use. The bed was extremely comfortable which helped after long days exploring New York. The location of hotel was good in walking distance to subway stations and when departing it was easy to get a taxi with the help of the staff. Plenty of storage for suitcases and having a safe for added security. The only thing missing from the room was a chest of drawers to store clothes but this was manageable. Extremly good value for money, and would happily stay there again if we return to New York.…
Our stay at Mint House NYC was quite nice. The location was great. The accoutrements were a very nice touch. And Gabrielle at the front desk was a customer-service superstar! She represented Mint House exceedingly well in all our interactions. Her answers to our questions were thorough, and her assistance ensured all issues were handled immediately and completely. My daughter and I LOVED the turntable and the associated albums with an eclectic mix of music. My wife was not as impressed, but she did, in fact, like the bath robes and access to a full kitchen, complete with required tools. The location is a tradeoff... it's in the Financial District, so it's not what one would call "centrally located." However, NYC has a plethora of transportation options. It's a short walk to One World Trade, subway entrance, Battery Park, and (of course) Uber and Lyft will pick you up literally at the front door. We will absolutely consider staying at the NYC Mint House again.…
Outstanding apartment with something for everyone. In today's world cleanliness and service are at the forefront of any travel experience. This accommodation stands out from the crowd & should be on everyones list. The welcome and arrival basket sets the tone, and its all up from there. The Black Fox coffee - best coffee in town!
I lived in NYC for 11 years prior to moving to the West Coast and travel back frequently for business. Every time I'm there for work I try to book at a hotel that makes me feel like I'm in truly New York (boutique hotels, not a Marriot or Hilton) but that usually means skimping on space. The Mint House concept is perfect for me--you get the boutique hotel vibe that's aligned with where you are, in addition to MUCH more space w/the comforts of home (full kitchen with cookware, etc.). You're also in an ideal downtown location if you need or want to be near the Financial District and South Street Seaport.I highly recommend the MInt House and will definitely be staying there agian.
I love the spotless apartment, the full kitchen, the enormous amount of space for NYC, and that there is a grocery store, gym and restaurants in the building. SO convenient and cofortable for my week long stay.
The room was large, quiet and well located. The bed & pillows were very comfortable which is always a bonus . The 2 aircon units were aliitle noisy but because of the large room we were able to turn off the one next to the bed . The lighting was also abit dim .
If construction is occurring and your stay is over Mon - Fri…you have been warned. Also if you are using the living area as a bed room be cautious if the apartment is visible from nearby businesses and have a face mask when the sun starts blaring early in the morning. Nice location for getting around NYC, nice selection of restaurants near, grocery store attached to the building, with some modifications you could make this a relaxing adventure.
This is the best stay we have had in NYC. We come fairly often and have stayed in places all over Manhattan, but never FiDi. It's really the perfect location. Easy subway access, easy walking to Brooklyn, and easy to Uber. Lots of good restaurants close by, and so easy to get to Theater District for a show. It is quiet at night and very manageable walking around, day and night.
