A good stay at a reasonable price. Very helpful and friendly staff and the room was clean and a good size. Some issues with getting things like coffee and towels replaced despite asking several times. Also the noise levels were a bit much - lots of people seemed to come and go in the very early hours. If you take earplugs you’ll be fine. Would stay again.

Hi Leonora, Thanks for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your stay, it is greatly appreciated. Sorry to see that it took multiple requests to get coffee and towels, it's not feedback we see often. I will share this with our team. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Hotel's Favourite
The Edge Hotel, while far uptown in Manhattan, is conveniently located near the A/C/1 lines, as well as near the Columbia University hospital complex. I was in town for a family member's medical procedure, and the entire Edge Hotel staff, particularly Luis and Dominic, could not have been more accommodating. The rooms are small but very clean; the room and bathroom fixtures made very smart use of the small space. I have to particularly thank Luis for accommodating my many phone calls as I made several last-minute reservations for family members - he could not have been nicer or more patient with me! The social area on the "C" floor is extremely clean and comfortable with a giant TV - perfect for unwinding after long days at the hospital. Plenty of quick satisfying eats nearby, and the surrounding neighborhood is, contrary to rumor, peaceful and quiet. Even if I weren't in town for hospital-related reasons, I'd absolutely choose the Edge Hotel for my next stay in Manhattan. Thanks so much!!

Disappointing stay. Great location, staff is nice, good view of the city, and the room is clean--if a bit smaller than expected. The problem for me was the paper thin walls. I was woken up each night hearing the people--including a crying baby--on either side of me talking through the walls. When I called to ask for a different room I was told that the people in the room next to me were very nice regulars, as if it was my problem, so I didn't bother calling again when confronted by the problem the next night. To be fair, the neighbors weren't being too loud, the walls are just too inadequately insulated. The shame of it for me is that I will be traveling to NYC regularly for the next couple years and was very excited when I learned about the Edge in Washington Heights. I was ready to make it a regular stay. Unfortunately, I will be looking for other accommodations even if it costs more. Also, the shower consistency flooded the bathroom.

Hi Stanley, Thanks for providing us with valuable feedback, we appreciate it. Very sorry to see that your stay with us didn't measure up to your expectations. We usually receive praise for how quiet our rooms are but sound perception differs from guest to guest. We do accommodate requests to move rooms for any reason when we have rooms available, please accept our apologies for not being able to do so. Considering your experience is an exception to our usual guest feedback, we would love the opportunity to make it up to you on a future stay and hopefully prove to you that you can use Edge Hotel as your home away from home while in New York City. You can reach me at gm@edgehotelnyc.com if you would like to continue the conversation. Thank you for choosing Edge Hotel

We were very pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood hotel. It was clean, efficient, well located near the hospital, and accommodations couldn’t of been better. We will definitely use this hotel again in the future, if the need arises.

Very convenient hotel- close to subway and hospital. Staff very attentive and hotel is clean and modern. Small waters were in room, has in room safe and updated bathroom. Did not use the gym but it looked well kept. They have a microwave and lounge area with large tv if looking for space, outside your room. Printers and computers too on that level. Pillows are too soft and needed to put the decorative roll throw pillow behind the actual pillow in order to sleep. (I like firmer pillows) In room keurig. No breakfast availability- they says since Covid but there is a Starbucks within walking distance as are other places. Front desk did give suggestions and listing of local places to get something to eat. Another reviewer mentioned a bagel voucher but that was not offered.

This was one of the best priced hotels in the Washington Heights area. The hotel was clean and the staff kept our room clean everyday with clean towels as needed. The room was cozy, it had safe for our valuables, a Keurig coffee maker and clean bathroom. The closet was big enough to hang up your clothes. This hotel was very close to the subway which we used every day during our stay. The staff also let us borrow an umbrella during the rainy days. Very thoughtful. Thank you for making our New York visit a perfect one!!!

The Edge is a new, ultramodern small hotel conveniently located close to Presbyterian Hospital in Washington Heights, Manhattan, a block from the A train 168th Street station. Clean, quiet, and comfortable rooms, brand-new bath fixtures and a refreshing, large shower stall with a rain-forest shower head. Free wifi, with USB charging ports built into the desk. Wall-mounted TV takes no space from the rather small queen-size room. Only one desk and chair, other than the bed, in this size room; larger rooms have more seating. Hotel offers $5 per guest per day "breakfast voucher" good at a bagel shop nearby. Not the place to go if you want conference rooms, on-site restaurants, and other features of a major hotel, but a great, small, quiet place to call home base on a trip for a few days.

The room was small for two people (we had room with only one window and no chair as pictured), but otherwise the room was comfortable. We picked the hotel to be close to a concert at the United Palace a few blocks northwest of the hotel and to explore a new neighborhood in NYC. It checked all those boxes. My main concern: pricey for the one night. Tips: Malecon restaurant up Broadway a few blocks was good for a big Cuban breakfast with excellent cafe con leche. Close to a park on the east side of the island for a jog. Kinda fun running over High Bridge (part of park just east of the hotel) that used to be an aqueduct and touching the Bronx. We used Spothero to find a parking lot 3 blocks away for $17 for 24 hours. Someone else mentioned the thermostat being hard to control. I wasn't there long enough, but I think it turned back on by itself when I thought I'd turned it off during quiet spring night.

Aside from a noise in the room that kept me up all night, it was a pleasant stay. Staff is great and location is good. Clean and nice size room considering it's NY. We had a marvelous view from the 11th floor even though it was a room for Accessibility.

I'm enthusiastic to recommend the Edge Hotel. It has great rooms, an attentive staff, a perfect location, at a good price. They ended up saving our Christmas! We actually lived in the neighborhood, but were in the middle of a chaotic move, with out-of-town family coming and going. While our situation changed throughout the week, the staff at the Edge always found a way to accommodate our new requests. Special shout out to Stefan, Nelia, and Che. Thank you!
