This is an excellent hotel situated close to many attractions. The room quality was very good with elegant british furniture. The highlight was the breakfast room on around the 60th floor. The food was very good and the view was even better. The only small detail we did not like was that the hotel had a large Lincoln Continental car...

This hotel is a great value for New York. It is not the shmancy-fancy hotels like you will find on Times Square or Ave. of the Americas, but you won't have your wallet catch on fire either! It is understated, but I think it is a real find! We really enjoyed our room. The beds were great to sleep in!...

WOW!! I'm not sure where to begin. A friend recommended this hotel for a holiday trip to the city. He'd stayed here many times. The price was f-- a luxury suite for the cost of most tiny hotel rooms in Times Square. A short, brisk walk from shopping and theater but not drowning in claustrophobia. Rooms are gracefully appointed with...

This hotel is located in a good location, with easy walking to all major mid-town locations. The hotel is elegant, but the lobby is a bit odd. The huge fish tank does not fit with classy decor. I would sugget removing it and giving it to the zoo. The part of the lobby with the tank seems to be under...

A group of 5 ladies stayed overnight in a two bed suite. We loved the room, it was really spacious with two beds, two bathrooms, living area and dining area with kitchen. The staff were great and delivered us a free bottle of wine. We ate at Noir downstairs, visited the rooftop bar and finally danced the night away in...

We stayed here to go wedding dress shopping. The hotel is amazing, so are the staff. Rooms are very well appointed and one bedroom suite is a must. Walking distance to subway, Central Park, Times Square, Rockfeller Center, etc. We also went to the rooftop bar which is a must.

We left a different hotel and decided to try this one and I have to say we were SO pleased! By NYC standards the room was massive and the bed was so comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the rooftop bar was a lovely place to sit with friends. The only thing I would say is that I think...

Stayed here october 2013. We had a large suite sleeping 4. The location of the hotel is excellent, 5 mins walk to rocker feller centre, NBC, about 15 mins walk to times square and 40 mins to the Hudson river. Hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment. Roof top bar is lovely on an evening as it has an open area. This...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
