I was in New York last week on business for three nights. I normally stay on the West Side, but I discovered this Hilton property near Grand Central. It was at the corner of 2nd Ave and East 42nd St. It was a delightful surprise. The room were small as is typical of New York hotels, but they were beautifully...

I had a bit of a unique situation this past weekend and wanted to thank the Hilton East Manhattan. My husband and I arrived on Friday for a weekend getaway. We were thrilled with the location and the size of the room, and I was also excited to have a spacious bathroom. Our vacation was wonderful until I unfortunately got...

We enjoyed our stay, this is our second stay at this particular hotel In NY, it was a great location for us and has and good amenities within the hotel. We didnt find it too noisy despite having our window open for the whole stay, we slept great. We would recommend staying here.

Sadly I had to book a room quickly in order to attend a funeral. My husband was going to accompany me but he ended up not being able to make it. I walked over to the hotel from New York Penn Station, thinking the hotel would be right by Grand Central Station but in truth is much farther up on...

why do front desk personnel, especially the male, skinny white, guy made me feel that I stink? I approached him and asked myself to be called at the breakfast room just in case someone will look for us. Its just like a couple of 12 steps away from the front desk. AS I entered the breakfast room, I noticed no...

Outstanding hotel, staff is outstanding. Breakfast expensive with better alternatives nearby. Somewhat out of the way for sights other than the UN but manageable with taxis. Would recommend to everyone.

Very enjoyable, but brief, business stay. Typical Hilton - very clean, friendly helpful staff, comfortable room. I appreciated the historical value of the building. would like to go back with my wife.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is great, not too busy between 1st and 2nd avenue but a short walk to the action. No quality restaurants in the hotel, but you're in NYC, have thousands of restaurants to choose from or deliver to you.

Just average hotel in a great location. Ask for room on a high floor if you want to see anything. Breakfast buffet was good but don't try to order just toast and coffee. If you're in the room you will be billed the entire $34. In walking distance from UN, Times Square, Bryant Park. Lots of cafes and the usual...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
