While The Pod provides a very casual comfortable atmosphere in a very convenient location, in some ways it takes its "hipness" a little too seriously. I had a queen room with a private bath (shower only); the overhead shower more than makes up for the...More
This is the smallest double room I ever stayed in. Shower is behind glass so maybe not the ideal place to stay in with friends if you do not like showing off to friends. Bed was small even though it was a double bed. Very...More
I stayed at this hotel twice over the last few weeks and would really highly recommend it based on my experience.
The first time, I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom facilities. The bedroom was relatively small, but was compact and totally adequate...More
Me and my Boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of July at the beginning of a tour across America. The best thing about the Pod is the location. It's within walking distance of the Empire State, Central Park, Times Square and there...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The shared bathrooms are not shared with every room on the floor, because the majority of our rooms have en suite baths. There are 2 to 4 shared baths per floor, with only a few guests sharing each. Our housekeeping staff diligently keeps the bathrooms clean between uses, as you will see mentioned in the majority of reviews that comment on shared baths. They are always locked, they require a room key to open, and there is an additional bolt in each while occupied.
