WSH is our favorite hotel in NYC. We have been staying here for years and we love everything about it. It is located in a great section of the city, with Washington Square Park right across the street. You have 100's of restaurants within walking distance. The subway is less than a block away. You won't find a better place...

This boutique hotel is in a great downtown location near the subway. There are many restaurants within walking distance and Washington Square Park is right outside the door. My room; cozy but had all the basics including free Wi-Fi! (this is huge in NYC). Also important, everything was clean and people were friendly. The only issue with my stay was...

Great location on park/near transit, restaurants, NYU. Clean, stylish (and comfortable!) hotel. Especially appreciated the good air temperature control and lighting in room/bathroom. Staff at all levels was especially helpful and friendly. Best experience I have had in NYC hotel in years. Will definitely return!

We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend and had such a great stay! The rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable! The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast in the morning was great and well stocked. Our visit was for a girls weekend and there were several of us staying at...

The location of the hotel is wonderful, but the people are the major draw. Everyone with whom we ever came into contact treated us like family. Our room was lovely, and there is nothing about our experience that was anything less than perfect. They went out of their way to assist in ways in which we didn't even know we...

For a wonderful option to the hustle and bustle of Midtown's toney hotels, this Boutique gem on the edge of Washington Square in Greenwich Village is perfect. the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating, especially the Front Desk Staff and housekeeping. Be sure to enjoy the delicious restaurant in the hotel called North Square.

I stayed here while visiting customers at NYU. I found the staff very welcoming. The room itself was quite small but adequate for my needs. Coffee machine, ensuite with shower over bath and TV what else could you want. Watch out for the breakfast options. There is one on the first floor which is very basic but included. If you...

Perfect boutique hotel in one of the greatest villages in Manhattan. It is very quiet, has great service, homey feel, and amazing location. It is right next to New York University's main campus and across Washington Square Park. You can walk for around 5 minutes to get to Union Square.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
