We just keep coming back to this lovely hotel year after year. Reason is the familiar and friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, location close to everything you need and much much more. We will come back for sure. PS: thanks Ronnie for the sample of "Papa´s Special" :).

Stayed here 5 nights for Easter. The hotel is small'ish and kind of unassuming from street level, but the rooms are nice, and the people very friendly and helpful. The concierge is (seemingly) always there, and always has a kind word, a helpful tip or pointer, and in general lights everyone up a bit. We stayed in a "deluxe queen"....

Spent four nights in a superior twin room. On the second floor with a view of Washington Square Park. I was concerned about noise being so close to street level but it was very quiet. The staff were efficient, professional and friendly. The location is fantastic, very close to major subway lines, great restaurants, shopping and we really enjoyed being...

In any business, the reception received marks a first impression. Upon arrival, the front desk briefly welcomed us, gave us the room card, and then we took our luggage to the room up ourselves! On several occasions, we asked information about directions or recommendations. The 2 women at the desk were 1) not helpful, 2) not friendly, 3) gave us...

This was a New Year's Eve visit. The staff is among the friendliest I've experienced. Beautiful décor, clean rooms that are decent-sized, clean bathrooms, no bedbugs, and if you're lucky you may be able to snag a free parking spot on Waverly or any of the nearby streets. They have a restaurant on the corner that opens at 5, and...

We were in room 224. We like low floors. This had a view of the park and a window that opens. This hotel has a very nice self-serve continental breakfast. Our room looked updated. The only funny thing is the labyrinthine halls, but we figured it out quickly. We will go again.

Everything from the convenient location to friendly staff to comfortable beds and rooms and large (NYC) bathrooms was great! It was easy to get to the subway or use Uber or a cab if needed. We were able to walk to a variety of restaurants and appreciated the included Continental breakfast. The room rate was fantastic and far better than...

Great hotel and superlative restaurant and bar--great location of course! but HORRIBLE BEDS with sink holes---Barely slept..........nowhere to hang anything---closet is large enough for one winter coat or a few clothes but NOT BOTH -- and for a room for two people, we had no where to hang coats. Clean and good quality sheets and towels.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
