I really enjoyed my recent stay at the hotel. I received excellent service from the front desk staff, particularly Maria. Everyone was friendly and helpful; I had several questions about navigating the subway and they were amazing. The room was incredibly cozy and nice. The housekeeping staff was great as well. I loved that the hotel was so close to subway stations and to many shops and restaurants. It made for a very walkable trip. My only complaint was that despite reaching out to the accounting department about a billing issue, no one ever acknowledged my emails, no my phone call. That is poor customer service, in my opinion.
Just got back from a 2 night visit to NYC with my 16 yo daughter to visit colleges and see some wonderful areas of NY including Union Square, Central Park and Washington Square Park. Hotel Belleclaire was a wonderful find! An affordable option in the heart of NY that has grand style with modern updates and is connected to a lovely French bakery where you can enjoy a delicious pastry and a coffee or OJ on the house. When we first arrived Benedict was so friendly and upgraded our room for us so we didn't have to share a bed. The upgrade was much appreciated. The room was super clean and although on the smaller side, it was totally adequate and surprisingly quiet. The towels were bright white and very absorbant. The sheets and pillows were so comfortable and also white & crisp. The beds were also super comfortable. We requested TP for the room because for some reason it was hiding in the closet rather than hung in the bathroom so we didn't see it. A few minutes later, someone arrived with several rolls and asked if we needed anything else. We asked if there were any blankets available and were given nice quality blankets for each bed also within minutes. The service at this hotel is amazing! Everyone was so attentive and we felt very well taken care of. I was also pleasantly surprised that our room received a cleaning and a turn down service while we were out exploring the city. I thought those types of cleanings ended with Covid. Why would you stay anywhere else? It's a great value and the location can't be beat. Staying near Central Park was so much nicer than other places I have stayed in the Times Square area and you can be in Times Square in about 15 minutes by taking the Red #1 train on the subway that is one block over. We will definitely return to this hotel for any future NY visits, thank you staff, we really appreciated the personal attention that we received. One area of improvement would be to fix the bad wifi signal, otherwise, no complaints from us. We loved it!…
From start to finish a great experience. The staff was very welcoming. The room was comfortable, and on the small side, but normal for New York standards. There is nothing chintzy about it. Great bedding, thick towels, nice hairdryer. Super location near lots of eateries. And near the park. Also, near a subway station. The bakery and coffee downstairs quite yummy! We will stay here again next time!
We were upgraded to the deluxe suite for free by Maria and we had a pleasant 3 nights and 4 day stay, the suite was immaculate and was cleaned daily, we were charged a resort fee which included breakfast at the French cafe attached to the hotel and the selection they had was amazing and it tasted good. The hotel did have some building work going on, which didn't really affect our stay. You just couldn't relax in the lobby with the noise. The staff were really helpful you get charged a damage deposit so bring a credit card which is refunded back minus the resort fee, but when I came to check put i was charged for the room again even though I had paid for the room a few months back, Maria sorted everything out and refunded everything back including the resort fee as it was a mistake on there side which I was very thankful for, I just need to wait for my credit card statement to reflect this. MARIA deserves a special mention she is a credit to the hotel. She is very kind and always has a smile and goes the extra mile to make sure everything was sorted out. Would definitely come back again when we visit New York in the future.…
Great location near to 79th St subway station. You get a voucher for breakfast to use in the attached French bakery. Note this is not free as it is part of your daily service charge. The bakery had an amazing selection of pastries which were heavenly. The room was clean and an adequate size. Plenty of hangars, decent shower. Very good hair dryer accordingly to my wife! Lift to rooms was quite small but functional. Overall a good stay and we would stay here again.
Absolutely perfect location close to Central Park, museums, amazing restaurants, entertainment, shopping, transit, and more bakeries than I could count including Mille-feuille downstairs (divine mini cranberry pumpkin seed loaves, nutella plie, blueberry croissant, 5-star espresso, and their signature macarons). Room was spacious, bed was super comfortable, free wifi and all the extras needed (one exception - they need more feather pillows). Excellent customer service and friendly guest services. I left some items in my room after checking out, and the Hotel Manager went out of his way to locate them and have them shipped to my home. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and the price was incredibly reasonable. The Belleclaire will definitely be my home base whenever I visit. Go now!…
I would like to thank Benedict for taking care of me the whole stay. I will come back for sure.... The hotel is great, very clean, located on broadway near the subway station and all the staff, including Benedict are great. Thank you!
Lovely stay at Hotel Belleclaire. We had 2 small rooms, one for my mom and me and one right next door for my teenager daughter and her friend. The rooms are recently renovated, bright and clean. Amazing location right on Broadway and 77th. Maria and Francelle (not sure spelling of her name) were amazingly friendly and helpful from making sure we didn't leave without items we had left in our rooms to a history of the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.
I stayed at Hotel Belleclaire for two nights, Nov. 10-11, 2022. First, I was impressed by the size of the room. Many rooms in NYC are tiny and this room blew me away. The service at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. Sometimes the small things matter the most: a smile, solid directions, a box of delicious cookies etc. One very silly highlight of mine was the music in the lobby. I felt like they stole my playlist! Lastly, I must mention the Assistant Front Office Manager Benedict. He was there for my check out and his outgoing personality sealed the deal that I would be back on my next visit. Hey Benedict, I'm booked for this upcoming weekend in January 2023... I hope to see your face.
This is an outstanding hotel. We traveled with our 3 kids & stayed in the family suite. It is exceptionally clean, well-located & modern. Their team is friendly, helpful & attentive. In particular, Sare & Maria were kind & thoughtful with their service. The connection to the bakery made a morning coffee & a quick breakfast feel easy & authentic to the city. Perfect location for AMNH, Central Park, playgrounds & public transportation. Looking forward to returning!
