Excellent location mid-town at a great price! Stayed here in 1997 because it was a great value, and it doesn't disappoint... Added perks were free neighborhood walking tours daily (from here or from partner properties), wine hour twice a week (and other nights at partner hotels) and free grab-and-go breakfast each morning. The room was larger than expected in NYC, and the room we got (front-facing, across from elevator on the 15th floor) was very quiet (who knew...?) We also loved the live music nightly at the Rum House off the lobby. Both restaurants were very good, also.

My parents stayed at the Hotel Edison in 1951 on their honeymoon and came back to celebrate their 70th anniversary . They were treated like roylaty by the entire staff and i can not say enought wonderful things about the hotel and the staff . The customer service can not be beat and the staff can not do enough for their guests . The hotel is very old time elegant and the rooms are nice and clean and Covid safe. They upgraded my mom and dad to a suite which was lovely adn due to their age they had a walk in shower , which was very thoughful. Security is tight , you can not get up to the rooms withought a key car , which you also need for the elevator . My parents raved about the staff and the service that they received . The Edison had a team meeting before my parents arrival to let the staff know about the special occassion , so everyone greeted them by name and congratulated them on their anniversary .Special thanks to Scott and Rommel for making this a perfect weekend . MY parents are planning on returning for the 75th . i live in Manhattan and am going to send all of my out of town guests to The Hotel Edison because it is beautiful, clean and safe and they treat everyone like family . Thank you to all the staff as you made this weekend so special !!!…

This was our first time at The Edison. My son and I have gone to NYC for 22 years, always staying at the same hotel, which was not available this year. We were crushed. Our tradition was broken. But since we’d eaten at The Edison on previous trips, and were taken by the ambiance of the lobby, we thought, ‘let’s give it a try’. Wow. Are we glad we did. Of course, its location was perfect as we travel to see shows. But on top of that, the staff, our room, the restaurant (Friedmans) and The Rum House made our visit so very comfortable, fun and complete. I think we’ve found our NYC home :). We are already planning for fall of 2024.

Have stayed at Hotel Edison several times due to great location. Staff has been so helpful and responsive and everyone seemed extra friendly and welcoming on the most recent stay. Love the Grab & Go breakfast option! Will definitely stay there again!

This was our 4th stay at Edison and the second time we experienced problems with the room safe. Don't know what that's all about but it's a nuisance. Bathrooms are tiny but we made it work even with 3 ladies sharing.

The check in counter does not accommodate wheelchair guests, the ratesk charged were no the rates given at time of reservation. Restaurant said they were not associated with hotel. Noisy elevators which made noise all night

Good luck getting sleep! The HVAC unit turns on every 15min even when it’s shut off. Metal on metal clanking every time it turns on. Location of hotel is easy access to Times Square, subway, shopping and restaurants.

Hotel was fine, clean, central location. We were in old part of Hotel @ heating system was v noisy at night! Rooms are a good size but bathroom was tiny. V comfortable beds which were a bonus after a hard day's shopping! Shining light of our experience was Michelle who cleaned our room. A truly beautiful soul @ a huge asset to the hotel. I would return just to see her smile..

Location and concierge services great. A special mention goes to Rolando Pagan on the concierge desk for his efforts in helping us resolve an issue. Reception staff unhelpful, room pokey and dark, Wi-fi constantly cuts out. Mentioning my wife's big birthday to the tour operator and nothing from the hotel.

What a value this hotel is. The location can't be beat, and the staff was just wonderful, very friendly, gracious, and helpful. That was the difference. I would stay here again, and already planning on making reservations now for next year. I felt so welcomed, and the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was wonderful. I met my old college friends for a mini-re-union of 49 year. Next year will be the big party in Florida. Thank you again for a great experience.
