This is a wonderful and welcoming hotel in Mid town Manhattan.
It's a good building with very nice staff.....clean and tidy rooms and excellent beds plus a powerful shower and mini kitchen.
It would be a great hotel but for two little niggles....
Staff at Reception was very welcoming. It's a small hotel but very conveniently located. Only a few blocks from Central Park (south).
Free wifi works well. Gym is modest but functional with 2 treadmills and a recline seated bike. And some weights.

Yes, there was quite a bit of construction going on. I didn't notice much noise in the morning, but we are pretty early risers. One night there was work going on until about 10:00? We sleep with a white-noise machine, so it wasn't bothersome to us. If you are a very light sleeper, I would take it into account.
