Wanted to stay close to the action and this hotel didn't disappoint. Located next to Grand Central Station and only about 6 blocks from Time Square. Paid extra for the club access and enjoyed the outdoor mezzanine and food that comes with it. I believe my son said "I could get used to this" as he lounged on the deck...

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt in a Double room facing 42nd street in April for a girls get away. I was surprised how large the room was as had been told the rooms in NYC were quite small. Room was clean and quiet considering all the street noise. We had 2 double beds which were very comfortable. Could tell there...

Our club room, 1608, was one of the worst rooms for a supposedly upscale hotel that I have experienced. The bathroom was especially bad. It was beaten up and not well-maintained. The Club breakfast and evening appetizers were good. The Market in the lobby was surprisingly good.

Very impressive building and lobby. Feels very clinical though. Caters for groups and corporates. Not a lot of interaction with staff as you pre-checkin yourself and pickup the key from an actual human (lovely lady) and can checkout yourself as well. Nice large room with great amenities (loved the shampoo so much I looked online to try and get it)....

Located virtually inside Grand Central, very centrally located in midtown. Very large hotel. Rooms are generally, newer, smaller, and clean. Check-in can sometimes take time. Lounge/restaurant is good though not special. Can sometimes find an attractive rate.

This is the most convenient hotel if arriving via Metro-North Railroad. The hotel is the only one physically connected to Grand Central Terminal. The room itself was fair. It was small, no mini-bar, no refrigerator, no coffee maker, no bottled water. No free WiFi. There was no printed information about the hotel, services, or about things to do in Manhattan....

Stayed here for 6 Nights at beginning of May, absolutely loved the hotel and location. This was my first time in New York and would recommend this hotel to any first time travelers due to its close proximity to pretty much everything. It's a short walk to the middle of Times Square, It sits on top of Grand Central for...

This was a belated birthday present for my wife's 60th Birthday and I chose this hotel as I had stayed here before on a visit to NYC with work and recalled the great location. As mentioned the location is perfect in the midtown for easy access to Times Square & Metro (via Grand Central right next door). We arrived a...

I always stay at Hyatt's when traveling to NYC and I am there just about every other week. I decided to stay at the Grand Hyatt last week as it was a better price than the ones I normally stay at and I had never seen Grand Central before (I never make it down there)! The check in was quick...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
