Been to a few hotels in NY. This one had a huge lobby that subbed as a conference meeting area so closed half the time. They have a small "market" inside to buy snacks and drinks-prices are quite high, i would buy in a supermarket outside and bring in. Elevators are terrible! A full row of them- half go to...

Overall experience is if a 2 star model. The decor has a cold feeling to it, there was a lack of graciousness eg no tea and coffee making facilities in room, having to pay $3 to have your luggage stored for 2 hours before leaving for airport.

My husband was visiting NY for a week on business and just so happened to be the first week of the Easter Holidays! Perfect... The hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing and is directly above Grand Central Station. The rooms are in need of a refurbishment(having stayed here 12 years ago) but this didn't stop us having a nice stay....

Hotel was terrific. Guest room was nice and the shower was particularly good. The staff in the Market were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The location cannot be beat. Every morning walked to Starbucks in Grand Central station and then got Zarros bagels. In addition we took the subway all over the City from Grand Central. This is one of the...

This is an absolutely beautiful and conveniently accessible New York property! It's grand scale and luxurious guest rooms are only matched by the helpfullness and attentiveness of its staff! Situated on top of (with direct indoor access to) Grand Central station and mere blocks away from both Times Square and Bryant Park, getting around the city and back to my...

Love this hotel because of the location, first of all. It is close to Times Square, walking distance to the Empire State Building, NY Public Library. The food is amazing, as the service. Love the lobby.

Perfect location. Average rooms where I never got a nice view, unlike the Hilton Times Square. Great Gym at a top floor with nice natural light. A below average overcrowded club lounge where breakfast is served. It can get extremely busy and food/drinks are average, served in an industrial fashion. Rooms are ok size wise for NYC. Nothing to write...

It was a great experience to stay at the Grand Hyatt New York city. The staff really understands the meaning of hospitality and genuinely welcome you. The rooms are spacious for New York City and have some tech friendly features, like automatic blinds, and electronic light switches. The food at Grand Hyatt is phenomenal. New York Central offers a great...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
