Spent a couple of nights here in june. This hotel is ideal for moving around in Manhattan. Really close to Subway station (around the corner) and pretty much walking distance to everything like Central Park and Time Sq. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but it really does not matter because there are plenty of Starbucks or similar just...

I stayed here around Christmas. It was big time crowded. IMO, staff did rather well to manage that. As for hotel - located at midtown Manhattan - says it all. Rockefeller, Grand central, Times square, all walkable. It was really good to be here for pre-christmas time. I had issues wrt some of the package being missing over weekend. But...

Good location, decent sized room, very comfy bed, staff were great on reception, we were even upgraded to a bigger room! View was 51st street police station and fire station, was a little noisy at times, to be expected for a big city, but very good entertainment watching a huge firetruck reverse into the station.. Overall would stay again and...

Stayed during busy Xmas season. Can't beat the location but the hotel is pretty beat-up, especially since its been recently renovated. Staff are friendly and somewhat helpful, except in the lobby bar where they wanted you to go eat and drink somewhere else so they could close up early (every night!!). Pillows and mattress are cheap and way past expiry...

We stayed at this Doubletree a few days after Christmas 2014. We had tickets to the Rockettes Christmas Show and stopped by St. Patrick's Cathedral on the short walk to Radio City. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
