The location was fine but I expected more, lack of room service is something I wouldn't expect from a Marriott. The room was small, which is common for NY hotels, but was quite dark with not a lot of natural light in the room itself primarily due to where it was located in the building. Breakfast was also a little...

I've stayed at 10 different hotels (all 4 star) in NYC and this hotel is a perfectly fine place to stay in NYC. It doesn't have the gargantuan-tour-bus-crowd-feel, which is a plus to me. Location on Lexington and 48th was convenient, a subway station is at 51st/Lex. Bartender was excellent, wish I knew his name! Housekeeping staff on the 17th...

Nice staff. Parking expensive, even for new York. Nice bar and cafe. Tired hotel. For the money they charge, they need to spruce it up a bit. I would not stay here again. Too many other choices for their price range.

There are more elegant hotels to stay at in NYC. There are Boutique Hotels in NYC with more services. And, there are hotels that house highly rated "Zagat" restaurants. But, for location, room choices, service and overall value, there are few better choices to stay in NYC than this hotel. It's always mentioned that the hotel's location affords you the...

I personally like this Marriott more than the Marquis. Great location and decent size room. The hotel is between 49th and Lex, a little bit away from the Time Square hectic scene, but not too far. The hotel is fairly small and it's not difficult to get in and out (compared the Marquis which is like a zoo all the...

One night stay, great location close to Grand Central Station. Noisy night with inconsiderate guests but room decent as always with Marriott's major city hotels. Didn't use restaurant or bar but staff seemed good overall, would go back on location alone. Gym is excellent even though quite small, lots of equipment and worth a visit despite the complicated journey with...

I would stay at this hotel again. The lobby is always busy with people Very nice bar overlooking the lobby Good location, you can walk everywhere. The Hotel is safe, for some reason the dead bolt slipped on when I closed the door, so essentially more door was open for fours over the super hour. And my room was right...

We always try to stay at a Marriott during our travels. So glad I picked the Marriott East Side. Since we are Platinum status with Marriott, and I was celebrating a special occasion, we were upgraded to a beautiful room on the 33rd floor. It was very quiet and comfortable. The M Lounge (concierge lounge) was the best one we...

I came to the Residence Inn Marriott for a business meeting, and it was the worst mistake I have ever made with hotels. The property in Annapolis is so old and unclean, roaches are climbing the walls, and the managerial staff was so unprofessional. The front desk associate was great. But she was the only good part of m y...

Okay, so I get this is NYC and stuff changes. However, this time it's for the worse. For 12 years, this hotel has been a top choice for when my business takes me to midtown. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
