We just went here for cocktails but it was a great experience. We sat in the revolving restaurant and watched the city move before our eyes. It is situated in a fantastic location. Great service and lovely cocktails.
When we decided to visit NY I googled so many hotels, checked reviews and prices. This one came out as a clear winner. I checked all prices for virgin flights, hotel etc on Expedia and the got in touch with an independent travel advisor to...More
We visited NYC for an international teaching job fair that was being held at the hotel. We requested early check in and they graciously allowed us to enter our room at 9 AM the day of check in - usually a check in that early...More
We are still staying at the hotel. We called for additional blankets and pillows for our pullout bed last night. They identified the room and occupant correctly and even repeated the request. After an hour, nothing. No call. No blankets. No explanation. Went to bed...More
I just stayed here and I was impressed with the value at first, but I was surprised to find a large destination amenity fee added to the bill. I requested a late checkout, which they declined. So I said I'd checkout at the standard noon...More
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

We had a family group (7) and took a lemo. If you only have yourself and a light carry on, then the MTA is good and fast. there are taxies that charge a flat rate. the trip on to the island is not bad, but when you cross the bridge (except for night) is full stop and maybe go. Traffic down town from 0700 till 2100 does not move.

Confirm with the hotel, but my guess is that you can bring kids, with you to The View at that hour, get a table, and they can have a soft drink, snack or dessert while you gave a drink. The View is a restaurant, not only a bar.i think you can't bring kids to places, where they check IDs at door, like clubs, but i think you should be okay at a restaurant that serves liquor. Maybe they can't sit right at the bar area, but a table should be doable. But check w the establishment, too.
