The hotel is too expensive for the services it offers. The bedrooms are small and the location of safe deposit is almost in the floor of each room. The customer has to bend completely to open or close the safe deposit box. The staff seemed to do a big favor in host us. Nobody made any effort to be nice. The coffee shop is poor. Nothing healthy. I felt abandoned in that hotel. Not best value for money!
Me and my wife have just came back from a 4nt stay at this hotel, the location is superb. You can see both Times Square and Central Park the moment you step out onto the street. Subways on the corner of the hotel and plenty of cafe and bars close by too. As for the rooms they were modern and spotless. Beds were brilliantly comfy too. We had no problems with lifts and anytime reception was busy the gents in the lobby were more than happy to help. It wasn’t extortionate to stay here and I found it great value for money. I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it too.
To start with the good, the hotel room was extremely spacious and clean. We stayed in a classic king room and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. A 10 minute walk to times square, 5 minutes to central park and right next to subway stations for access to the rest of the city. The bad. The room feels premium but seems to suffer from being in a large hotel as the attention to detail suffers in places with peeling wallpaper and paint scuffs. The plug in the bathtub did not work however this was fixed extremely quickly by hotel maintenance. The hotel only seems to have 2 elevators for access to the majority of the floors. We were left waiting up to 10 minutes some mornings to get down to the lobby. On our final day when we returned to the room at around 4pm we found that the door had not been shut properly by the cleaners and so our belongings had not been secure for several hours. We raised this to a hotel manager on checkout who was happy to listen but didnt seem forthcoming with any solutions and suggested it wasn't an issue as nothing was taken. However the biggest issue we had was the hidden "facility fee" at nearly 40 dollars a night! This is not made clear upon booking and is clearly just a way of making the room rate more appealing online. The fee is mandatory and is apparently to cover WiFi, air conditioning and other features that are surely included in the standard rate.…
Stay was comfortable. The ambient and surroundings are enjoyable. Easy accessibile to NYC subways. Time Square is only couple of blocks away. Wish the Top bus had a stoppage nearby. Definitely will stay again.
Ok hotel but you can get better amenities in other hotels for the same price like Candlewood Suites. Our room didn’t have a fridge much less a microwave. We asked for fridge and they said they would get one for us and they never did. Shower did not have body wash, I mentioned this to the staff and also it was not addressed. Then when checked out, the person attending to guests at 5 am almost scolded us when he heard we had an Uber scheduled to take us to the airport. Definitely can’t recommend this hotel.
Comfortable, cozy hotel just at the outskirt of midtown Manhattan. I love staying in this hotel which is close to the serene beautiful Central Park. It has all the modern amenities and quite peaceful surroundings.
Nice hotel. Lovely room. Great location. Just disappointed the bar was closed. We got married in Central Park so this hotel was an ideal location to get there. Plenty eating places and bars around the hotel. Good location for the subway. Nice little kiosk for coffee and croissants.
In the midst of many problems with the Hotel and an illness of my own, there is a manager who worked hard to refund me, comp me sundries. She was generous and should be promoted! Her name is Suko(spelling).
The Park Central Hotel is close to Times Square, Central Park, and all the Broadway Shows. Walking distance to Grand Central and restaurants from 5 star to Diners and Deli's. Clean, modern, friendly staff, quick elevators, comfortable beds, and quiet (for NYC). Add in that their prices are on the low side for Manhattan and it has become our new go to hotel.
Contrary to what I've read I didn't have any problems booking in or with the lifts true the rooms could be updated a bit but to be honest the room was clean the bed was lovely and comfortable, the amenities in the room were good , and house keeping did a great job, the staff were lovely couldn't do enough, and the lady in the shop was lovely got a really good cup of tea hehe
