I have stayed here in the past for the great location in the heart of Times Square. The rooms do not have great views but the lobby lounge has one of the best views of Times Square and worth the drink price. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Disappointing no benefits for gold members on the weekend so they can save...

I stayed at this hotel when visiting NY for three days on business. Location is great, although you could almost walk past the hotel entrance if you didn't know what you were looking for! I was in a high floor looking down onto the Hershey's store on Broadway, but the lifts are super fast and it takes no time at...

If you want to be in the heart of the action then this hotel is for you, but it isn't noisy! Our room overlooked Times Square so we expected some disturbance but actually didn't experience any, just a fantastic view of the hustle and bustle. Cocktails in the R lounge is a must. Hotel highly recommended

On the plus side you can not beat the location. The staff were also wonderful and were able to accommodate our every request, including connecting rooms and an early check-in. The rooms were clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Room service was efficient and tasty. Unfortunately, our sleep was interrupted every night by a loud intermittent noise. The hotel staff...

I am writing this as a follow up to my february review of the New York Marriott Marquis. If you read that you will know I love the Marquis and stay every time im in New York unfortunately this past weekend the Marquis was sold out and had to try a Different Marriott property. My wife and I decided on...

Great location, had a Marriott Gold rewards night. On the 19th floor, nice view, decent sized room for NYC, nice shower, comfy bed, aveda products, R lounge ovelooked Times Square. Perfect location in the heart of NYC. Very ecclectic decor (Cool sinks in public restrooms off lounge:) Would highly recommend, only a block from Milenium, lobby is on second floor...

Overall this hotel was a great pick. It is close to everything; the subway is out the front of the hotel and you can see Times Square from the hotel! The hotel is clean and the rooms (although not huge) were a decent size. Make sure you take advantage of the bar area that looks over Times Square and have...

Solid 4 stars hotel, fabulous views and the right size hotel, not too big and overwhelming like Marquis next door. We stayed in a room with double beds, it was good size room, though bed comfort was average, mattress could be better. Don't expect a robe and slippers, but you will get plenty of aveda shampoos and conditioners. I did...

Although the Renaissance is located directly in the center of the hustle and bustle of Times Square, it has a "quiet" feel inside the hotel. Unlike the Marriott Marquis, where I generally stay on my trips to NYC, this hotel does not have a "frenzied" atmosphere. Something to note: An elevator ride (the wait for the elevators was short) is...

We just got back from a family vacation to NYC and are so glad we stayed at the Renaissance. I initially planned to stay as far away from Times Square as possible but then decided my 7 year old would probably love the area. Turns out, the Renaissance was perfect for us--great views of Times Square from the R Lounge...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
