We stayed at the Sheraton for eight nights, Christmas Eve until New Years Day. We were upgraded on arrival to the 32nd floor, as we requested a higher room. New York is a very lively place and even on the 32nd floor you can hear the traffic and sirens below. The Starbucks coffee was a great addition and an Iron...

Dear ash062, Thank you for your glowing review. We are honored to have accommodated you over the Christmas holiday. The featured amenities in accommodations are meant to be a convenience for all of our guests and we are glad that this was your experience. An accommodation on the 32nd floor should have been high enough to reduce street noise, however...

I'd recommend staying in this hotel if you are visiting NY. It is so close to all attractions (except 9/11 but that's a short taxi ride) and it wasn't too far from JFK. You can walk everywhere from this hotel, it's great! The hotel room we had was clean and tidy and spacious for myself and another friend... we had...

I honestly have no idea how this hotel is rated 4 stars. It is a basic hotel that is relatively clean and possesses a somewhat friendly staff. However, I would never stay here again for the following reasons: 1. It is excessively crowded and loud. Lines to get onto elevators and through doors. 2. It is run-down. The rooms need...

Dear DC22579, We are honored to have accommodated you for your stay-cation. We hope that you enjoyed multiple aspects of your stay and had the opportunity to walk to Times Square located just steps from our front door. Due to our location, we experience a high level of occupancy often. This can lead to some crowding and congestion. In these...

I stayed here for two nights on a quick in-and-out business trip. It was conveniently located just off of Times Square, so if you need to be centrally located but don't want to deal with the tourists and chaos in the middle of Times Square, this was a good option. The rooms were clean and a decent size. The lobby...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
