We decided to stay here and base our trip in SoHo. The hotel is in a good location, close to the metro and within walking distance to the financial district, the whitney and madison square garden. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping in the area also. It's nice because it's not super crowded but beware that some places...

The Soho Grand does live up to its reputation as a world class hotel. When being offered any special promotions, reclarify and be sure it is in writing. The staff is friendly and the rooms were immaculate!

This is a grand yet laid back boutique hotel designed in an edgy industrial 1930s theme. The room was comfortable and surprisingly big by NY standards. Service was excellent, a very cool bar with 50 types of American whiskey available. Breakfasts were delicious and the waiters very interactive. A small billing error at check out was courteously handled and the...

The bar/lounge is quite nice and relaxing. Great for brunch and refreshing juices... Also conveniently located to the subway, for those that feel comfortable navigating thru NYC. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If in the area a must to stop in...

I was disappointed- room was not attended to during the 2 nights I was there. Room service trays were not picked up. Bathroom was not picked up- trash wasn't emptied. For the cost I would expect better service

First class experience and outstanding atmosphere all round especially during dinner, drinks and breakfast. Very cool interior design of the foyer and hotel. Great location and perfect place to spend good times with family and friends.

This hotel would get five stars based upon location alone. Whilst there's not a great deal wrong with the hotel I had a couple of comments: depending on where your room faces it is very noisy especially if you're towards the W Broadway/Canal Street junction (this in New York and the traffic and car horns are constant 24/7). The rooms...

Just back from seven days staying at Soho Grand. As others have said the A/C is a little outdated and can be noisy but for us made little difference as we were so exhausted after long days out in NYC we were asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow! The service received from staff was great, special mention...

My fiance and I stayed here during a weekend trip to NYC for a wedding. Everything was great. Friendly staff, great room with a southern view. We really enjoyed the lounge/bar both before and after hitting the town!

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
