Staff was friendly. Room was great. Location is ideal. Right at Central Park. Tim the doorman was great right from checkin helping with bags and watching the car while we checked in. Was helpful throughout the trip.
Great team effort.
I recently stay at the Park Lane Hotel with my husband. We came for just an overnight trip. I must say when I first arrived I thought this review was going to be bad as the wait to check in was very long.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

By law, they must have stairs for all levels, as emergency escape routes, if nothing else. What I do not know is if you can use the stairs in non-emergencies. Hotels often set up so that you can't enter another floor, but you can use the stairs to reach the lobby. Other hotels let you access the stairs by using the room card to open stairway doors. I don't know which is true for the Park Lane - would have to recommend asking the front desk!
