Where to start? The room is tiny and dark, there was no safe the mini bar was un stocked, the quilt on the bed had no cover and is stained, there is only 1 bedside table so I have nowhere to put glasses etc. The luggage stand is broken which is a pain as there is not enough wardrobe space...

The rooms are tiny and very dark, but clean with a great shower. We asked staff to turn our heating off when we arrived as the room was very stuffy and it was done right away, although we did ask about a safe which was supposed to be in the room, and it never materialised. As others have said, the...

Top location great hotel for a weekend away not a 5* by any imagination the price you pay and what you get is well balanced. Didn't eat at the hotel too busy checking out what the city has to offer. Yes small rooms but again wanted to see New York with it been our first time. Clean and tidy found...

Small but efficient room. Good bathroom. Quick service and a good concierge and door man. The bad points would include a small fridge but nowhere to plug it in! The restaurant had top prices but cold flavourless food.

Hotel has grand common spaces (game room/library, bar). Unwelcoming desk staff, uninspiring rooms, low quality bed, linens, pillows, bathroom, tv. Great location for NY, especially if you want quiet in times square area. Was not worth the money however.

Found this hotel online, most reasonable for the mid-Manhattan area, though relatively still expensive, but that's big cities these days. First I was concerned at reviews saying 'dark dingy room, noisy'...so I emailed to request a quiet room. This was granted as we looked into the back of the hotel building away from the street. The room was dark and...

The location can't be beat. Within easy walking distance of Time's Square, 5th Avenue, Bryant Park, Broadway, etc, there are also restaurants nearby. The hotel has an old world charm, but has very tiny rooms. Something is going on with the towels. The first day, three couples had no towels. The second, we had no wash cloths. The third, we had...

Do not stay at this hotel. These guys are crooks. We stayed here on a company trip on recommendation. Unfortunately a series of errors lead to the personal cards of the three guests being charged and not the approved company card. All the cards were charged the wrong amount. Leaving us hit by international transaction charges and exchange rate differences...

Hotel was in a great location, close to Times Square, Grand Central and a convenient range of subway stations that can get you anywhere you need to be. Having travelled to Tokyo we were accustomed to a small hotel room, as this one was. Not helped by having 3 suitcases and various hand luggage items. Our room was on level...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
