From the moment I walked into the hotel. It felt inviting. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and comforting. The rooms are spacious for NYC standards including the bathrooms. If you want a great hot shower with great pressure, you will not be disappointed. I found the bed super comfortable. The entire staff of the hotel was amazing. Extra shout out...

From the second we stepped onto this property we we treated like VIP guests. We were upgraded to a nicer room with a great view. Cesar at the door and Carmen at the bar were warn and friendly. The room was nicely appointed but showing some age. It's not the most convenient situation for a gadget geek. I guess you...

In-room hot pot or coffeemaker in the rooms should be mandatory. Our supposed "Upgrade" was not explained properly. Friendly staff. Excellent if overpriced Eggs Benedict. Breakfast buffet was omitted much to our chagrin.

The Michelangelo is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Classy, clean and the room we had was very large, especially for NY standards. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Many good restaurants and shopping nearby .

Rooms are very large for Times Square area. If you are vacationing in the city or there for business - you are in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The rooms are comfortable with thick rugs, large bathrooms and are nicely maintained but will feel old school European to you. Grab your espresso on the way out in the lobby bar.

First let me say that we reserved several months ago and obtained a great rate. Through iPrefer and Visa, we had a larger room with a full breakfast and the rate was less than a smaller room with no breakfast. When we arrived, the room was not ready and they said it would be about 10 to 15 minutes. No...

My third stay at the Michelangelo in May, was nothing less than perfect. My best friend and I arrived early. Joseph greeted us in his same warm and friendly manner. The staff is wonderful. Henry is the best. Our room was as elegant as always. Of the many hotels we have stayed in in New York, the Michelangelo remains our...

We love this hotel and always stay here when visiting NYC. So close to theaters, museums, restaurants. It is always so clean, the beds are super comfortable and we are seriously considering copying the shower for our own bathroom. Nice big fluffy towels and twice daily maid service. I wish the room had a coffee maker, but I just bring...

After much research about which hotel to pick for our recent New York visit, we settled for The Michelangelo Hotel, and I could say that we couldn't have picked a better one! I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids aged 12 and 14, and we booked a room with 2 king-sized beds. The room was spacious, clean, &...

Always a pleasure staying here when in NYC. We were in town at a conference and also obtained additional meeting space at the Michelangelo. We are always pleased with the hotel, meeting space, and courtesy of the staff.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
