This hotel has class written all over, full of old world charm and elegance,no wonder so many famous people have stayed here over the years. We arrived on Christmas Day to the most magnificent buffet I have ever seen. Our four nights here will never be forgotten. Thank you for the room upgrade 🎉🇬🇧

Dear Filmstar, Historic sophistication and modern luxuries are uniquely part of the same compelling experience at the Waldorf Astoria. I am pleased to read that this was your impression. We hope you will consider the Waldorf Astoria as your "home away from home" for any and all future visits you make to New York City. Yours in service, Abir Tebbo...

if you visit New York, where else are you going to stay but the Waldorf Astoria! Perfect location for a 3 day sightseeing trip. Beautiful hotel, some areas worn around the edges, but that is what I liked about it, added to the ambience

We stayed at The Waldorf for 5 nights from 18 Dec 2016 to celebrate a big birthday. The building is magnificent with high ceilings, large open areas and lots of glitz and glamour. The room was very spacious with large queen sized bed, en-suite included bath. Just a few things which prevented me rating the Waldorf with 4/5. Wifi cost...

Dear Mallysis, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at our hotel. Your review was a difficult one to read as we take great pride in the Waldorf and maintain intent to live up to the experience virtually all expect as they ascend the Park Avenue steps for the first time. I am so sad that the Waldorf Astoria is closing. This historic and iconic hotel lived up to its name. I felt like I was staying in a Vanderbilt estate room. I have toured many Vanderbilt homes, and staying here makes me feel like the velvet ropes that keep me away from the artifacts has been lowered and given me...

We had nice accommodations and the location is fabulous. Overall, the service was great. The bellmen and concierge were awesome. Thanks and we are looking forward to visiting after the remodel. I am just sad we could not stay for brunch.

The lobby was absolutely gorgeous and the customer service was great. But the room and everything else was lackluster, not really justifying the '5 star' legendary status or the price. It does have a good location for walking to and/or taking taxis to local attractions.

The service was great at the Waldorf. Sad to see that it will be closing for 3 years for renovations. I hope that it retains its historic feel once the renovations are done. It is definitely worth a visit before the renovations if you can.

I have spent many a year wanting to stay here, finally did so at Christmas 2016. When you walk up the steps and on to the main reception area you genuinely get the feeling you've stepped into somewhere with a rich, opulent history. I've read some of the other reviews mentioning slow check in, which I have to admit is...

I met some business associates at Peacock Alley their main restaurant just off the lobby. Really old-fashioned high style restaurant that serves quite good food. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
