Spent three nights here on a recent business trip; this was my first stay at the Waldorf. Was impressed by the ease of access to valet (tunnel entrance on 50th Street at the corner of Park Avenue) and was greeted promptly by valet and bell staff who freed me from my car and luggage in a matter of minutes. A...

Had a great four nights at this lovely landmark hotel in midtown. Great location for sightseeing, shopping, eating. Easy to get to subway stations. Great lobby bar. All public areas of the hotel are beautiful. Rooms could use a facelift. Our room backed up to elevator bank so could be quite noisy. That was really the only negative. Would love...

This was my first stay at the hotel with such a renowned history. It did not disappoint. I loved it from my first step out of the revolving door at the Park Avenue entrance. My room was small but lovely. Great bed/sheets/towels and a cozy robe. Just what you would expect. I loved the little entrance into my room from...

Well we had to be moved from the first room due to noise. No coffee machine in the room, overpriced food, average bathroom and bedroom for the price. Heat won't go off unless you just turn it off and ask an engineer to open the window and the icing is the new neighbors we can now hear through the wall....

This was my first trip to new York which was complimented with a 7 night stay at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. I have stayed at Waldorf Astoria many times...great location and wonderful history. This time, I could never find a place (for 1) to eat--lunch or dinner--inside the hotel. Oscar and B&B are closed for lunch. At Peacock Alley, I could not place my order for 40 minute at bar on a Monday night! The same story with room service. It...

It is the most amazing feeling once you step in the historical Waldorf Astoria! I totally understand why my sister loves to stay here each time she visits New York! The name is just as iconic as the hotel.. The only bad thing is it is not close to a subway.. But It's only a few blocks to walk. And of course there are door men to hail a taxi. I had a view up Park Avenue that I really liked.

Stayed here for a short weekend getaway. Hotel is beautiful. The location is also great. The price is a little steep for what you actually get for size of the room, and room service costs an arm and a leg. But when you stay here you kind of expect that. Everyone was very friendly. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
