We spent our 50th Anniversary weekend at the Waldorf after spending our honeymoon there in 1964. The location is great; it has great history (Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra lived in the Towers). It feels like you walked into the last century. The room was just ordinary, though the view of St. Barts church below and down Park Avenue was...

I've been travelling to NYC twice a for business since 2006 and it was time to bite the bullet and see what the Waldorf was all about. The service is extremely good. Food in the hotel extremely expensive. Room was more than adequate. Staying at this hotel is all about experiencing the history of glitz and glamour of old -...

I don't know if my expectations were set too high or if this hotel is just another Hilton or what... But to be honest, the best of the hotel is the foyer, the rest of it is just... Average. PROS: the location is excellent, the building looks beautiful from the outside, the foyer and lobby looks like taken from a...

Our stay at the Waldorf was terrific. The room was a nice size with a good view to the east. The staff was excellent and offered great customer service. The location was ideal for getting around. We would absolutely stay again.

Our first trip to NYC with our teenaged daughters, we wanted to make the trip special while keeping it in budget. Booking in at the Waldorf was to be a bit of a historical adventure. Stayed in the Waldorf for 7 nights and I have to say the whole experience was wonderful. We had a few issues last year that were compensated for this year. Our stay was enjoyed thoroughly. Would recommend anyone and everyone to stay here.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
