We had a private room with bunk beds, can't lie not what I was expecting at all it was tiny and nothing in the room no home comforts at all. There was a shared bathroom with misted glass doors on the showers but this gave no privacy at all. For the price it cost you can really moan - right...

Positive: Location (100 meters from Central Park), Free WiFi. We got a room facing Central Park. The Gym was nice, but not the pool. Negative: This hostel is really worn and in serious need of maintenance. Every single door (toilets/showers and our room) that we encountered, needed to be lifted by the handle in order to close with lock. Cleaning...

A bit dirty bathrooms. Tiny bathrooms. Just two toilets and three showers for a lot of rooms around 50 on the floor. Windows wouldn't open. Very damp and no fresh air on the corridors. Noisy. Not very well soundproof. Could hear banging loud doors all night.

Be very careful when you book through expedia. the rate I paid through expedia was about double when I reviewed other sites which was certainly too much for a bunk bed. You must realise that this building is over 100 years old, the rooms are not like to photos. They are dirty and smelly. Very very small. Actually, depressing. Every...

I had to spend a night by myself in NYC and a hostel seemed like a good plan, even though I'm in my 40s...I like to travel on a budget when alone. In July, I was happy that this place had window air conditioners at least. The 9th floor where I stayed was not as remodeled as the pictures shown...

The West Side YMCA was exactly what I needed during my NYC visit! My single room was small but pleasant. It included a desk and chair, wifi, a comfortable bed, a window, a closet, an air conditioner/fan unit, and a small flatscreen TV. Housekeeping changed the sheets daily and provided a fresh towel every day or every other day. The...
