My husband and I booked a deluxe queen size bed room. The room was in great condition, comfortable bed and pillows, and quiet! The room was small, basically enough room to accommodate the furniture and ONE person comfortably (kind of tight for two people) but we enjoyed being in a renovated room with a good view! Bring your own USB outlet plug to charge your phone/iPad.

Really nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, and perfect, safe location. As a single woman traveling alone I felt very safe here. I appreciated the ease of ordering room service online and the use of the big umbrella! Thanks also specifically to the desk staff who printed out a festival ticket for me last minute.

Had a really great stay here. It was unfortunate that only the suites have a mini fridge so we had wasted some food. The single king bedroom was a lot bigger than I was expecting from viewing the photos of the room online, so that was a nice surprise. Very friendly and helpful staff. They also offer room service & laundry service. The restaurant attached is very nice as well and has a creative menu.

BLUF: Nice hotel, great neighborhood, would stay here again. The hotel is located on the upper west side, one block from the 79th street subway stop (which made getting around easy), and four blocks from Central Park. There are numerous restaurants within a few blocks' walk, a gourmet deli (Zabars) and a gelato store open until 10pm. It's a cool neighborhood. We opted for a suite that had two queen beds and a separate sitting room and appreciated having the extra space. There were separate air conditioners for each. The nook near the bathroom had a mini-fridge (no freezer), microwave, and coffee/tea maker (with the little cups). The only quirk about the layout is the main door opened into the bedroom - ideally it would be the sitting room so you could have someone come in from a late show without waking everyone. Beds were generally comfortable with feather pillows and plush comforter. Wifi was excellent, there were TVs in each (though really who goes to NYC to watch TV?), plenty of storage (closet + chest of drawers) and LOTS OF ACCESSIBLE OUTLETS for charging my gamut of devices. I wish more hotels had this. The room was generally quiet-ish. As this is NYC, you're constantly subjected to the cacophony of jackhammers, concrete saws, road grinding (as there is a repavement ongoing on 79th st), and random first responder sirens. After a week, it's all just background noise. Staff were cordial, had no issues that needed attending to.

Staff was outstanding, room was clean and comfortable. Considering NY is a noisy city, the room was quiet. The only noise came from people talking in the hallway outside an elevator in the middle of the night, but you heard little traffic noise or noise between rooms. No complaints whatsoever.

My friend and I stayed here two days. I booked ahead to get a good deal on a one night stay. At first, we were tentative to feel at home in a much needed update on the decor of the Deluxe King room and no mini fridge to be found. We quickly grew to feel comfortable with the space and cleanliness of the room, bought water across the street and enjoyed the large television. The hotel staff is super friendly and let us check out later than usual. The Upper Westside Location is fantastic with lots of great restaurants, shops and activity. I heard from friends that the restaurant downstairs is superb. Our room was quiet with not much of a view; therefore, we slept well for the little time to sleep while enjoying our very busy NYC schedule:))

We loved this hotel. I am a transplanted native New Yorker visiting from CA with family. The Lucerne combines old fashioned charm with up-to-date conveniences. Too many modern hotels are austere - without a soft surface or warm color palette be found anywhere (they all feel like shower stalls) The Lucerne is quite the opposite - cozy, clean and modernized without losing its vintage feeling as a lovely 1904 historic building, The staff was friendly and helpful and there is a great restaurant downstairs offering a discounted breakfast for guests. We will be back.

The Lucerne exceeded our expectations! The room was large, well appointed and clean. We had everything we needed, including an umbrella. The bed was comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Great location as there were plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping close by. Subway was very convenient as well. We will definitely stay here agian.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Staff was excellent. My wife had a mobility scooter and everyone helped putting the ramp up. Great location close to Central Park and Riverside Park. Plenty of restaurants. We will stay here again.
