We stayed at the Wellington hotel last week and left yesterday. On arrival we checked In and was shown to our room. We were very disappointed as it was extremely small ( kingsize) there was only a shower in a very tiny bathroom. My husband went and spoke to the manager who was extremely helpful and who couldn't do enough...

our 1st time in New York, and we stayed at the Wellington from 31/03/17 - 5/04/17. the hotel is old or art decor whatever way you want to look at it, but i think it adds to its character. the location is superb, 5 mins to central park, 10 mins to Times square. The staff are very friendly and helpful...

This hotel is in the perfect location if you want to be near Times Square. The hotel staff are excellent, the room was very good, clean. The room we booked was a twin bedded but when we arrived we had been upgraded to a suite which was good considering we had a 13 year old daughter so it was good...

This hotel is ideally located in Times Square and has a brilliant diner attached to it where they serve the most delicious breakfasts, try the lumberjack breakfast and you wont need lunch!. The hotel bedroom I stayed in was oldie world but very warm and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location to all the sights & sounds; from Times Square to Central Park, Theaters & Restaurants. Well within walking distances to everything. If further, then the subway, taxis, and hop-on/hop-off buses are immediately available for a reasonable fee. The hotel is rated 3.5 with many of the accommodations of a larger rated hotel. The standard one-bedroom was reasonably priced,...

This is a nice traditional hotel that's 4 blocks from Central Park and near Times Square the hotel has some new rooms and the old ones that are pretty new decorated the hotel is fine but the rooms are not too big so if you are planing to travel with 4 or six bags like us it would be uncomfortable...

We stayed at the Wellington for 4 nights and found that the location was excellent for Times Square / Central Park couldn't really ask for anywhere better. The staff on the front desk were pretty sharp and answered your questions before you even asked them - it was like they had no patience for first timers! However we got the...

Great hotel, close to Time Square and a subway entrance. Thin walls, sound travels but great loction. Friendly staff. Breakfast is at a tiny cafe which sometimes has lines but moves fast especially given the volume of traffic.

Location great for tourist attractions, however the noise from the heating system got worse throughout our stay and on the last 2 nights kept us awake all night. Manager unsympathetic, nothing he could do except get an engineer to look at it. Would not come to our room to hear the continual noise. We did get a free breakfast, but...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
