This was our second stay at the Washington Jefferson Hotel and we will definitely return in the future. As many others have stated before us--the Location cannot be beat! It is close to the Subway (1 block away) which will take you Uptown or Downtown quickly. Broadway shows are as close as the next block up or 6 to 7...

Fantastic friendly staff, perfectly situated hotel at a reasonable price. We were walking distance to almost everything. There is so much to do in NY that we will be back again and again. I am a big fan!

I took my husband away for the weekend on Feb 8-10. I found this hotel on Expedia and then checked it out further on Trip Adviser. The price, location and reviews sold me on it. We came from NJ, so we had hopped on NJ Transit train to Penn Station and then took a very short subway ride to 50th...

Just got here, rooms are very basic, no room to put clothes away, bed very hard, bathroom door doesn't close, windows don't keep road noise out. Overall not that impressed, hotel seems cheap and in my personal opinion missing some key features.

The WJH is very conveniently located in the Times Square vicinity--close to countless restaurants and tourist sites. My room was cozy and relatively quiet. The management and staff were top-notch--among the best--I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know them. Excellent Experience!!

Excellent 'Last Minute Deal' had me trying out this little jewel of a hotel, well situated near many tourist activities, restaurants, stores. I only needed a clean, safe place to stay overnight while on a business trip. I would definitely return.

Great location, walking distance to Times Square and Central park. Small but clean and quiet rooms. Helpful and attending stuff. Stayed for just one night, but were completely satisfied. Worth the money paid!

Very pleased with the location and convenience of the hotel. Very clean, efficient and friendly. The Petite rooms are pretty small but it had everything I needed for the week's stay. Would have liked some kind of coffee service available but otherwise everything worked well.

Can't recommend this hotel enough for solo travelers. The mini room was CLEAN and exactly what one needs. The staff is happy and funny and welcoming. They were always there, ready to help. Central location near subway stop, tons of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Please go to this awesome hotel! Exactly what one needs in NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
