Stayed here for a short, last minute business trip. Lobby area is updated and has a computer and printer to print boarding passes. Rooms and hallways are old school and a bit dark, but seemed clean. Great location. It was fine for a night or two and it was a reasonable price when nothing else was. My only staff interaction...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 16 February 2017

No bells or whistles, but this hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly. The rooms are on the small side, but most hotel rooms in Manhattan are. The location isn't bad, Lexington and 30th, so it's close to Grand Central Terminal. It's also walk-able to tourists sites such as the Empire State Building, Macy's, etc. But the best part of all...

I really liked this hotel. It's in a residential neighborhood, which I thought was cool. You truly get the NYC experience. I also liked that it was within walking distance of shopping on 34th street (Macy's, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, H&M, Gap, etc). Strengths-The hotel itself was clean(room included). The staff was friendly and the free breakfast decent. We had...

Same hotel, new name. They've dropped the Ramada/Wyndham affiliation, much as did some of the other AppleCore hotels. This pleases me. It never felt like a Ramada. It's better than the average Ramada. Same place, same great front desk staff. Same good parking deal. Still my go to place in Manhattan.

Our transfer from JFK airport initially couldn't find this hotel because they had changed their name and didn't inform us. I mean why would they we're only guests! The reception staff were "ok" but not as I would expect staff to be in a customer facing role. The rooms were small, dated and dusty but as we had travelled a...

We stayed here from April 12-14. The hotel is older, but it is clean and quiet and as NYC hotel rooms go, it was pretty spacious. We arrived in the morning and the man at the desk was able to get us into our room by 12:30, (Checkin isn't until 3pm.) We were VERY grateful!! It's a bit far out...

A friend and I stayed here for a 4 day trip to NYC. The hotel is in a great location - a nice 10-15 minute walk from Penn Station, where we came in and out of, and close to the subway and a ton of restaurants. Around the corners from the hotel there is a McDonalds, a bagel place, and...

The location of the hotel is great for tourists wanting quick access to the subway and other big tourist landmarks. The breakfast provided was simple but decent. However the size of the room itself was small to say the least, but thankfully the bathroom was large enough to makeup for the lack of space in the room.

Stayed in Aug 2015, with a friend. the room is not that big for both of us but was clean and well maintained. Hotel was near the subway just a block walking. The breakfast was average but satisfied no much varieties.

Checked in after our flight from Heathrow. Got greeted by a friendly receptionist, shame can't remember her name, and went up to our room. Lift was a bit slow but had a classic charm about it. Our room was very spacious, however dated, but it certainly did not lack in facilities. It did have a great view of the Empire...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
