After reading many poor reviews we were a little apprehensive of our stay at the Roosevelt, however on our arrival we were very surprised, we were greeted and shown to our room. The room was of a good and comfortable standard, the bed was wonderful & we had boiling hot water at all times, the bar & food were great...

We really enjoyed this hotel. Excellent location, just minutes from Times Square and 5th Avenue. I was worried about the room given some previous reviews on here but it was of ample size, clean and very comfortable. I loved the beds and the room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels. If I had any complaint it would be...

My husband and I booked The Roosevelt Hotel as a part of a Flight Centre deal for a long weekend in NYC, and as a first-timer in NYC, I have to say that I was impressed. The location is fantastic - close to Grand Central and within walking distance of Times Square, NYPL, and Central Park. The lobby is opulent...

Location ...full marks. Service good, but rooms need refurbishing...little room to put anything; suitcases propped up on end, small wardrobe, small desk with sockets that weren't suitable due to being old. The bathroom was very small, with no shelf space, peeling wallpaper and grubby bath. Extremely noisy central heating system. Internet daily charge costly. Have always stayed here, but will...

The two best parts of this hotel are the beautiful lobby and the great location. Grand central is very close and Times square is just a few blocks away. We had a very enjoyable stay- room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly.

Seeing as when I booked this hotel it was one of the cheaper hotels on offer I have absolutely no complaints. Yes, there was some peeling paint and damaged bath enamel, yes the lifts could get busy at times and on a Sunday morning there was a very large queue for check out. I also agree with other reviews who...

Just had 4 night stay at the roosevelt where I have stayed before, the lobby and public areas still in good repair and look nicely kept however the rooms we had looked very dated. Plug sockets hanging off the wall wires stapled to the wall? Our room had a safe that did not work no chest of drawers the wardrobe...

Having read some very mixed reviews on here we were a bit apprehensive about staying here, we needn't have been, it is a great hotel. Short walk from Times Square, The Rockefeller Centre, and Grand Central Station. We were on the 16 th floor just across from the lifts. (Only one problem with this! There were chairs outside the door...

At first glance you can see the opulence that once was. It is relaxing and friendly on arrival but you must remember to make sure you get in the right queue or you will get some very sharp glances. We had a cosy double room & you may say that it was on the small side, but this was in...

New York was amazing but room was shocking. Me and my new husband thought the hotel looked perfect from the photos and they knew months in advance it was a honeymoon booking for a veteran. How soorly disappointed we were. The ceilings cracked, the TV was broken, it had a Dodgy shower head hanging off the wall, the bath was...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
