Near the Shakespeare Festival and within walking distance. Meticulously maintained residence and garden. Warm and caring host who knows the Festival well and the plays as well. Erudite without pretentiousness. Excellent breakfast prepared by owner. Healthy and gourmet. Every breakfast is different on a different day. Great breakfast conversation with other guests. Beautiful table settings in sunny room. Very clean... More

We stayed a couple nights while visiting Bryce Canyon. I could not believe how quiet it was in that neighborhood. Mary is super, super nice and friendly and a very accommodating host. We stayed in the room with the music theme, an upright piano for a headboard to the bed. Very nice! Breakfast was to die for! We made a... More

Thank you for the lovely review. It's a pleasure having folks stay who realize that b&b owners expend a great deal of time & effort ensuring guests enjoy their visit and that like the theater, all the work is done behind the scenes. More

Mixed experience here. Loved the room and the food was good. However, the first morning I hadn't slept well and woke up past the breakfast time. I wandered out to the kitchen and asked if I could still eat. Was clearly told "Breakfast was at 8:30." Then I said well there's half a dish of quiche right there, can I... More

This was my first visit to Cedar City, Utah, a Shakespearen Festival and the Stratford B&B and I was truely impressed by all of them. It was the most relaxing vacation week I have ever had. The weather in Utah was beautiful and sitting on the front porch of the Strafford with a cool breeze blowing was an absolutely perfect... More

I've stayed at the Stratford B&B twice and both visits were wonderful. The rooms are cozy ans comfortable and Mary Beth makes breakfast that is fantastic. If you're taking in the scenery or the Shakespeare Festival, it's a great place to stay.

Second stay here - Cedar City is a lovely and relaxing town, and the Stratford Bed and Breakfast perfectly complements and enhances your visit to Cedar City. Walking distance to downtown, winery, and Utah Shakespeare Festival. Beautifully decorated with an antique Victorian feel. The breakfasts are fantastic, as is the host Mary Beth, and it's nice to get to know... More

This charming, attractive B&B, is beautifully decorated, close to the Shakespeare Festival and serves delicious, filling breakfasts. There are relaxing common spaces, such as the porch and the garden and a comfortable, attractive living room. The proprietor accommodates guest requests and schedules breakfast so that attendance at the festival seminars is still possible. The best part is the interesting people... More

A perfect place to stay when visiting Cedar City. We were there for the Shakespeare Festival and enjoyed walking just down the street to see the plays. The Picadilly room was charming, clean, and had all the amenities you could think of! Mary Beth is a wonderful host and we enjoyed her delicious breakfasts. Our first bed and breakfast experience... “There are different sizes of beds.”

“Both times I have stayed in the Yorkshire, one queen bed and a daybed allow for separate beds or a bed for the little ones (depending on how you are traveling). The private bathroom is immediately outside the room off the hall, but given the design of the house your 2 second trip to and from is very private (plus robes are provided in the room.).”

“Every room has it's own bathroom so privacy is never an issue. The themes of each room are different so try them all!”

“Our favorite is the 2-room suite at the back of the first floor”
 of 5 bubbles 458lindaa, 23 Oct 2013 | Read review
“The house is a small residential 3-bedroom house (one of which is MaryBeth's, the other two are vacancies), with a large addition on the back that give 3 additional bedrooms and a separate rear entrance. We slept in a room near Mary Beth's, with a hall bathroom rather than an en suite. I would say that when you pick your room, consider what level of privacy is more your style. The front, main part of the house is more of a "little home" type of feel, which many will prefer, but for some, it might feel a little too much like you're a guest at your relative's house. We returned several nights while Mary Beth was watching tv in the living room, and it felt as if we were interrupting her peaceful night in her own living room. I've stayed in larger B&B's where the "living room" area has more of a common area type of feel, rather than that of someone's living room. With that said, we were not here during festival season, and if you are there during festival season, it might be a completely different vibe. Furthermore, the rooms in the addition of the house are much more set apart from the main house, and with a separate back entrance, one can come and go more privately if that's what you prefer.”
