everything was great, the service the atmosphere. The suites are to die for. it was a very relaxing getaway. The breakfast with the other guest is a very enjoyable time to get to know people from other places and share what everyone is doing while they are in town.

We have stayed in many B&B's and the Empress is the best. The rooms, food and the grounds are all first rate. You are only a few minutes from downtown where there are many restaurants and bars. Go check it out if you get the chance.

It's been awhile since we have been there, but I was super impressed with this beautiful Victorian jewel. I got up early in the mornings just to go downstairs and admire the intriguing collection of antiques. Would highly recommend this B&B whenever you are in the area. WONDEFUL!

We took a weekend to have a romantic getaway and the property was relaxed, chic for the décor of elegant Victorian. We stayed in the Majestic Spa Suite and it was decorated to the nines like glamorous old Hollywood. The tub and beautiful shower and gorgeous bed was just amazing. The decadent breakfast in the dining room with a butler...

My brother and sister-in-law surprised us with a stay in the Empress. What a magnificent house! Absolutely beautiful. We only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed it. The Empress has been meticulously restored down to the smallest detail including the furnishings. Breakfast was a wonderful treat though I wish there had been eggs included. My only negative was how bright...

The house is beautiful and decorated correctly to the time period. Deborah the night inn keeper was very accommodating and gave me a full tour of the house as well as the history. The bed was super soft and comfy and very clean. The area was quite and never felt unsafe. I was the only guest and didn't realize the...

HOME ALONE-NOT!! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the "intrigue" of friendly ghost stories. But I just wanted to point out that while the innkeeper, and even we, go to our own quarters at night, we are in adjacent premises and a step away, ALWAYS!!

The Garden Room very highly recommended. Great for couples. This cute cottage style room is snug but has room for two in all the right places. The staff were helpful and friendly. The Empress' history is lovely and charming.
