If you wish to stay in a quiet historical town where you can tour battlefields from the Revolutionary War to Civil War, or just have a great meal and a drink, the Hornsby House is the place to stay! Gracious Hosts, Great Food, Wine & Cheese and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Make sure to ask David...

We have stayed in a lot of B&B's all over the world. First one where the owner had breakfast with us and gave us a history lesson. Awesome. Plus the breakfast was outstanding and REALLY good. Quiches, especially the bacon and cheese, delicious. David was great host and all the staff were wanting to serve. Nice to walk around Yorktown...

Our stay at the Hornsby House Inn was fabulous! The hosts Dave and Phil were so wonderful. Our room was large with a private bath, and extremely comfortable bed and pillow! Wine & cheese in the evening and a delicious breakfast. The Inn is directly across from the Yorktown Monument and the historic downtown and waterfront are all walkable. Lots...

What an amazing place. David is very knowledgeable and a wonderful host, just let him know what you are looking for in activities and he will point you in the right direction. He had great recommendations and was great learning more about the area and the house over breakfast as he is available every morning. In addition, Philip makes one...

David and Phil are the consummate hosts- brothers who are full of history, kindness and Virginia warmth. The inn is well appointed, near the Victory Monument and the battlefield at Yorktown and walking distance to the historic village and the waterfront. Best Inn ever! Rooms were spacious and comfortable and breakfasts set a high bar for other places we'll stay!...

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Jeanette, we felt at home. This is a huge house with 2 large rooms plus dining room downstairs as well as the building being surrounded by open and a screened porch. The bedrooms are upstairs, so we packed only what we needed from our car and left the large suitcases. Our...

We found this charming and historic B & B online while en-route to the Virginia coast from Charlottseville. It was 7pm, dark and unfamiliar to my wife and I. We were game to try an Inn with some personality, and boy did we find it! Walking in cold we were warmly greeted by the Innkeeper and quickly shown the choice...

The house is full of family pictures, furniture and other family related personal items. During our stay, we were looked after by Phil Hornsby (grandson of the original owner) and by Jeanette the...
