We chose to stay here because of the convenient location. We stayed in the Rockefeller Room overlooking the river. It is a beautiful spot! The location is within walking distance to restaurants, the ferry to Cumberland and the parks. We had a trip planned for Cumberland Island and we preordered a picnic lunch. They had it waiting for us the...

It's an old hotel but very quaint. Friendly people. Had a few drinks at the bar outside. The gentleman who checked us in hangout with us at the bar and telling jokes. We had a blast. So convenient to the ferry to Cumberland Island. I'd stay here again.

The Riverview Hotel is very quaint and very friendly. Built in the early 1900’s it has that old yet modern feeling. Jerry and Gaila Brandon, the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our group found the porch on the second floor to be ideal for a social gathering and a few beverages, plus the river...

The best part about this historic hotel was the complimentary breakfast before we went out to our fishing charter. The hotel was clean and quaint- no complaints. Our reservations were made just two weeks out, but the summer season has just ended. This place is usually swamped in the spring and summer.

Loved this old fashion charm. Antiques in the room and common area. Beautiful view of waterfront park. Excellent restaurant and happening little bar attached. Across the street from the ferry to Cumberland Island. Unique and quaint! 💜💜💜💜

The reviews for Riverview Hotel are all over the place. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Yes it is old (100 years) the room we were in was small with a window unit for air conditioning, which worked fine. But this old Inn and owners have a lot of personality. We enjoyed sitting on the porch...

Below is the email I sent to the hotel, I never received a response. I loved the idea of staying at an inn that felt more like an old home. The location was amazing and the view was great. Otherwise, I'm so disappointed by our stay! I've attached some pictures. I arrived and there was shampoo in the room which...

This 100-years-old inn is filled with antique furniture, charm, and a warmth you only find in family owned and run hotels. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Riverview Hotel in 1991 and waited 25 years to return just to make that celebration even more special. We will not wait another 25 years for our next visit. We love...

Could be an awesome place. Needs upgrading desperately. No A/C on in hotel..just wondow unit in the room, which wasn't on when we arrived. .toasty warm in June! Free breakfast was bagged bagels and english muffins...bleh. Quiet, lazy southern town. Enjoyed the free music in the park. If we go back just won't stay at this hotel.

On a whim I decided to stop in Saint Mary's during a roadtrip North to Atlanta. I used priceline late one Saturday night and was surprised at the well priced accommodation at Riverview Hotel. I was absolutely smitten upon arriving as it feels like 100 years ago. The two story hotel was well lit and very authentic in every way....
