We checked in to the Red Roof Inn on Wednesday into room 107. While the property does seem a bit older on the outside the rooms have been renovated and look a lot nicer than most others for the price. Check in didn't take long and was pretty simple. I'm so glad we got a ground

The hotel we got was awful! The room REAKED of smoke the bed spread was covered in stains and some blood. The ceiling looked like it was going to fall on us. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! Sleep in your car if you have to!

Dear Cathy, As I expressed to you in my personal apology e-mail yesterday, I am so very sorry that the disrespectful actions of several other guests by choosing to smoke in their non-smoking guestrooms engaged the fire alarm several times early Sunday morning. After the fire alarm had been engaged the front desk associate went out on property to investigate why the smoke alarms had been engaged. The front desk associate discovered several rooms filled with smoke due to these guests choosing to smoke in their guestrooms. The heavy smoke in each of these rooms is what had engaged the fire alarms. After it was determined that these guests were the ones that engaged the fire alarm and had been smoking in their guestrooms, they were asked to leave the hotel by the Butler Township Police department. We do take our guests Safety and Security seriously and we do access a $200.00 fine to guests who do not follow our non-smoking policy. I sincerely apologize that the front desk associate you encountered at check-out was less than professional and unsympathetic to your concerns regarding the engaging of the fire alarms. Please know that I will be sharing your comments with the appropriate team members. Thank you for sharing your transparent feedback regarding the overall quality and condition of your guestroom. Please know that I will be sharing this feedback with both my maintenance and housekeeping team members to improve our overall quality and service. I sincerely hope that you will give my team another opportunity to better serve you should your travels bring you back to the Dayton North area again.

I am so sorry this happen to you KD8QGA, although we replace out a section of pillows every month there is always the possibility of one that we did not catch. As for the rates, our Hamvention customers have a special rate, they book through our group reservations and we have a significant discount set up just for them. We have always done this in consideration of our Hamvention Vendors. We participate with the organization for their requests and always keep in mind that our traveling vendors are within a budget.
