Such a cool place!!!!!! I LOVED IT! How could I possibly love a hotel that had no electrical outlets in the rooms, crumbling walls, rust in the sink that was the size of a dollar bill, large amounts of cracked tiles on the bathroom walls, floor, and shower, no TV, an outside door that did not lock, yucky green carpet,...

The place is being renovated a bit I guess so you get what you would expect out of an older place like this. Overall it is decorated in a cool way and I didn't have any problems with my room. The only problem was that the wifi doesn't really work even in the common room.

BEFORE YOU STAY HERE, RESEARCH AND READ MULTIPLE REVIEWS. This hotel was very unique, however, as I stated at the beginning research it to make sure that it is the right hotel for you. I really enjoyed the hotel, it had rustic feel about it. It is registered on the historic national monuments list. It was built for a bygone...

Can't recommend. Really wanted to like this hotel. Its in a good location on the edge of Death Valley and has lots of potential as a simple hotel with lots of character. But the basics were just too basic and it wouldnt have cost a fortune to transform the experience. A fresh coat of paint on the room walls would...

A friend and I had the opportunity to tour the Amargosa Opera House on Friday, April 28, 2017. We bought our tour tickets ($5 each) in the lobby of the adjoining hotel. Although the lady who gave the tour (she was also the desk clerk at the hotel), gave us a lot of facts about Marta Becket who founded the...

This hotel is about 30 minutes from Furnace Creek. It's very charming. Hotel can definitely use some upgrading. This is a 100 year old hotel and it definitely shows. Hotel is affordable and convenient to Death Valley.

The four of us wanted to tour the Opera House but the lady behind the desk seemed really busy and she was grouchy. So we decided not to bother her. The Café is good but you will have to rely on what other people say about the actual Opera House or Hotel. I guess maybe since the founder just passed...

we came here for one night and enjoyed it very much. It is a little dusty but the rooms are clean and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. We did not eat here but went to the casino down the road, that was not worth it. terrible food and bad karoke. We came back to our room and sat outside and...

Let me start by saying that 5/5 overstates the case a bit. A ranking of 4.5 or 4.75 would be closer to my actual ranking. The room was clean and comfortable but there are issues. The lack of cell phone and internet is a problem. The plumbing is antiquated to say the least. For desert activities the location is excellent....

We had tagged this as a must do on our drive from Furnace Creek to Las Vegas. So glad we stopped and had a tour of the Opera House (even if it looks closed ask at the hotel and they will organise a tour for $5 each). The story is fascinating and the interior of the Opera House is magnificent....
