Situated at the base of the mountain just across from the ski area's Main Lodge, the historic Mammoth Mountain Inn offers stunning views, ski-in, ski-out convenience, and proximate access to Mammoth's best mountainside activities and attractions year-round. Just a short drive into town, Mammoth Mountain Inn is located next to the Adventure Center, Yodler Bar & Restaurant, Mammoth Mountain Bike Park, Panorama Scenic Gondola rides, and the Reds Meadow/Devils Postpile National Park shuttle. Our mountain resort is located above 8,000 feet and we historically experience mild summer temperatures. Because of our cool summers, our hotel and rooms are not equipped with air conditioning. Dogs are welcome in select rooms for an additional fee. Enjoy your stay in Mammoth Lakes!

Do not stay here, they offered us a shovel and told us good luck to make our own parking spot in 5 ft of snow. We called before coming twice to confirm there was a shuttle and confirmed again at check in and 10min later when we came to get the shuttle they told us there was no shuttle. Their restaurant had 0 vegetarian options and you end up stranded in this terribly outdated room, there seems to be a 1:1 pets to people in this hotel which is weird also there are dogs barking from every direction.

Hotel's Favourite
Our family repeatedly chooses Mammoth Mountain Inn for our accommodation when traveling to Mammoth. Not only is it conveniently located, ski in/ski out, to chair one at Main Lodge, but the Inn offers amazing amenities including a rustic ski lodge experience with friendly service meeting needs promptly. The general store is convenient for gourmet coffee and varies sundries and quick snacks. There is also a rental shop with very helpful employees. Perhaps what I most appreciate, besides the friendly conversations with staff, is the upstairs restaurant and bar. The food is so amazing as they hire cutting edge chefs. In fact, we rarely venture into town to eat because of our enjoyable dining experience. This is why I, my husband, and two teenage sons will continue to book our reservations at the Mammoth Mountain Inn.

Dear V5428VCbusiness, Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your recent stay, and I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your time with us! Our location right at the base of Mammoth Mountain certainly makes us an ideal jumping off point for all things outdoors, whether that is skiing and snowboarding in the winter, or biking and hiking in the summer months. I am delighted to see you were able to enjoy not only our location, but also our Mountainside Bar and Grill! We have just welcomed a new chef, and his menu changes have certainly been well received by our returning guests. I am delighted to hear you enjoyed his dishes, and I will be sure to pass along the praise to both the staff at the hotel and the restaurant so we all can continue to deliver excellent customer service to our guests like you! Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay with us, and I hope you will visit us again the next time your travels bring you to Mammoth.

We stayed here from 11/23 until 11/27/2022. Being Thanksgiving landed on my boyfriend's bday, I thought this would be a romantic place to stay in. I was completely wrong. This hotel is more of a motel. Very old and dirty. The fact that this is an old hotel is the real reason to question your stay here. You cannot clean the oldness of this place. You cannot remove the awful smell and dirtiness of this place due to its age. But the hotel should do its best to ameliorate these issues. However, there were zero efforts from the hotel to make your stay safer and memorable. The much-needed room service (especially during a covid-19 epidemic) has become optional. I did not see one person attempting to keep the place safe and clean. The carpets are brown and gross. Just to put the icing on our visit to Mammoth, both my bf and I got covid-19. We left a day early and told the front desk I was symptomatic and they did not care. We were simply told that we will forfeit our last night and that was that, the manager said this is standard policy and this is what the travel insurance is for. I do not know about you, but the very least that the hotel could have done is refund us the last night given we were willing to leave because we were not feeling well, and as it turned out, we tested positive for covid as soon as we got home. I hope that this review gives you insight into this hotel's priorities. It's not their guest, but their profit. If you get this room for less than $100/night then take the chance. You won't have to worry about parking since you'll be across from the main ski lifts. The only pros for this place.

After hiking 36 miles and ending up in Reds Meadow after their season ended, I was unable to secure a taxi to pick me up. There is no Uber or Lyft in Mammoth, because the town doesn't want to disrupt the taxi business ( which I was unable to get hold of). I called the hotel and Ford, at the front desk, heard my frustration. He talked to his manager, Tannar. Tannar offered to drive 25 minutes to come get me. Tannar was professional, caring, sincere and said he "wasn't going to leave me stranded!" Who does that? This is WAY above and beyond any customer service that I've ever received at any hotel I've ever stayed in and I'm telling all my friends. The restaurant was awesome and I had the best burger in fries ever! Hotel was quaint, rustic and had great amenities. If you are looking for a cool place to stay in Mammoth - stay here!!

Lodging was acceptable but dated and a little rough around the edges. Looked like a lot of work was going on preparing for the busy season. We were charged $20 per night amenities that we didn’t see or use. No elevator in our building was challenging with luggage.

The overall look, feel and atmosphere is nice, tidy and. We stayed one night and it was OK.. Bathrooms can do with a renovation. Staff is helpful, friendly and points out to remove all food from the car because of bears😂 Watch the DVD in the room. Quite interesting

This place is such an amazing get away with the family. The employees were amazing. They are very helpful, funny and they make you feel like you’re part of their family. I remember this one employee, Billy Ortiz and he was such a delight. It’s really sad that he’s leaving Mammoth.
