I come here often. I’ve been coming for many years. Wonderful amenities. Always comfortable and clean. Special Shout out to Claudia from housekeeping - deserves 10 stars! Always hospitable, kind, and friendly. She’s the best !
Stayed for 2 days during a road trip through California and didn't want to leave. The room was beautiful we had 2 teenage girls with us so needed space. We had a suite with a bedroom and a sofa bed. Staff were helpful and told us about the free bus which goes up to the adventure centre where you can book trips we went to see the Rainbow Falls. Lots of restaurants nearby and a general store which sold essentials though expensive. Beautiful area and if you like walking and cycling this is a great place I hope to return one day.
Came to Mammoth to celebrate our 13 year anniversary. We stayed our first night at a neighboring resort but after being bounced to 3 different rooms in less than 24 hours we decided to go search for our relaxing trip like we had envisioned. We ended up coming to the Westin Monache and finding our hero, Steve! They went above and beyond our expectations and were all so accommodating and made this the memorable experience that we were looking for. The room were very relaxing and cozy and the best was comfortable to sleep in. Thanks Steve!
We stayed at the Westin The Monache Resort on 9/29/22 and checked out 10/3/22. 4 hours into our drive home we realized we left some clothing and a packing cube behind. I immediately called and housekeeping confirmed that they did have our items. I asked if they could send the items to me I would pay for the shipping and she said yes they will and proceeded to take my name, address, cell phone number and email. She stated probably most likely would not to be shipped until 10/5/22. Once it shipped we would receive an email with the tracking number. Did not receive email or phone call with tracking number. On the morning of 10/6/22 I called the Westin again. The front desk connected me to Randy the housekeeping manager. My call went to his voice mail. I left him a voice message and I explained why I was calling and I left him the room number we stayed in, my name and my cell number. I did not receive a call from him. 10/7/22 I called the again and spoke with a lady at front desk She placed me on hold to check into the package being shipped. She told me she spoke with housekeeping manager and our items were not shipped yet but he told her my package would be shipped that day. He told her all packages were shipping that day 10/6/2022. It has been over a month. Numerous e-mails. One phone call from housekeeping manager to find out they have no fed-ex record of being shipped to my home address. He was to get back with me after he researched where the package could be. I told him if I did not answer to please leave voicemail or email me. Never heard from him. So again I emailed and I was supposed to receive a phone call from housekeeping manager on Monday 10/31. I have no missed calls from Mammoth and no voice mails from the Westin. Over a month later we still are waiting. The Westin confirmed they had our items yet we never received. I assume our items will not be returned Not impressed the way this has been handled and lack of communication. Especially when they have my cell number which they could leave a message or text me and my email address. Customer service is not a priority for them.…
We had an amazing time !!! We went to Mammoth for my son's wedding. The rooms were clean and super nice. We used the Whitebark fireside room for the reception and the staff and food was top notch. The managers for the event also were very helpful and accommodating. Even for the last minute changes we requested. Highly recommend the Westin !!!
I hope you’re lucky enough to run into Claudia while staying here. The hotel itself is awesome but the experience we had was ultimately made unbeatable by sweet and charming Claudia. She went above and beyond for us! We stayed here after hiking 1200 miles on the PCT and she brought us a bottle of wine to celebrate. She made our day and her personality alone was a blessing to encounter.
What a beautiful property. Our room was just perfect for the two of us. The amenities in the room were really nice and the lighting throughout the room was amazing. Lovely fireplace with a timer! The bed was "Heavenly", that's for sure! We even had an aroma diffuser next to our bed. We used the pool and hot tub, both at the perfect temperature! The service was outstanding and we found the staff to be more than friendly. Can not wait to go back again.
Resort is perfectly located across the village offering a ton of restaurants. The rooms are beautifully decorated and offer amazing views! And most importantly, from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave, you are greeted and treated by the most professional and kind staff!
The stay was absolutely lovely. The highlight of the stay was the attentive staff. Larissa at the front desk went out of her way to accommodate our requests. The rooms were immaculately clean and love the modern design. The coffee table books about Mammoth were delightful to scan through.
My wife and I visited The Westin Monache earlier this month. It was a mid-week stay. As we arrived, we were greeted by the valet men, who informed us that parking was free in the garage. We loved that, because we are used to paying $30-40 per night in other nice hotels. When we got to Check In, we were welcomed by Steve Hardt. What a great employee. He was kind, courteous, friendly, helpful, efficient, and completely professional. The room was perfect, the pool was fantastic, the in-house restaurant Whitebark served great food, and we had a great time all the way around. Thanks to Westin, and especially to Mr. Hardt for making our stay perfect. Patrick Burke
