Just returned from 4 nights at Cottage on the Cove. It's a great central spot to explore Whidbey Island and Coupeville (and it's a 30minute ferry ride to Port Townsend/Olympic Peninsula, which is worth the trip). Nevertheless, we did turn on the propane fireplace which dispelled the chill off the water and we had a good laugh at how you couldn't avoid nudging the door... More

I stayed at the cottage on the cove a little while ago. The cottage is a nice size for two people coming to relax and explore the island. Pros: Great little living room with fire place and good heating. Amazing views, you're right on the cove and the deck is lovely. Both the kitchen and bathroom meet ones needs and... More

“The sleeper couch described in the listing has been removed for a regular couch and the bed for the "third" person is basically in a storage loft accessible only by a ladder and open to the "master" bedroom.”

“If I were staying longer I'd have taken the plastic sheet off. The cafe close by doesn't have internet but the library just up the street does and it's very nice with a number of comfy sofa's and chairs.”
