Location is great. Very close to all the action. Staff is great. Accouterments are complete. BUT, this is three stars because in a three night stay the hot water was limited and ran cooler by the end of each shower. AND the beds are hard. Not as soft/accommodating as any other Marriott I have stayed at thus far (see my past history of reviews for the reference locations I have used). If these items are not a focus for you, then you will have a fine experience. I will repeat, location is great for touring.

Checked in via the mobile app. Titanium member, room was ready early arrived about 10 am. room was comfortable, was on 21st floor. Large hotel in great location. Food in hotel was very good. Parking garage across the street. No M Club available as it was undergoing construction so they offered bonus points.

They gave great customer service and were very friendly. Only issue was the amount I had to pay for parking. It was expensive for a 3 days stay. The total for parking was over $100 for the stay and is not included when you stay at the hotel. Otherwise everything was great.

Safe and great place to stay! I took my 12 yr old grandson to Philadelphia and stayed here for the weekend. Wonderful experience! Clean and safe. Pleasant staff with many amenities. Historical attractions within walking distance. The office worker Theresa Miller guided us thru our entire stay. She was amazing! Can’t say enough wonderful things about her! She helped us with detailed train directions and local places to see and visit. We had the best weekend ever! I would recommend staying here and will stay here again next visit to Philadelphia!!

The hotel is in a convienient area and a pretty good hotel overall. However, our rooms were not in the best shape. The carpet had terrible stains, the duvets also had stains, and there seemed to be dried vomit on the side of bed.

Pulled up to a chaotic front door/valet area with no clear signage regarding where to go. We wait in a line of cars, then We were told by an attendant that their lot was full and to go to the valet across the street. ( since we had already paid for valet). We drive across the street to a very packed garage with no valet. We parked and lugged the kids and bags down the elevator and across the street back to the hotel. Then told by management that their lot is not full, we should get our car and move it back over. What about the parking lot ticket we just got at the new garage? And now we’re wasting 30 minutes plus…so much drama and confusion. Next…no instruction on best way to find our room. Very big hotel and poor signage. Lots of wasted walking with kids and bags. Booked this hotel for the indoor heated pool… get to the pool, the pool area is not very warm and the pool water is cold. Area was full of cold irritated parents and shivering kids who still want to swim. Not fun at all. Ice machine on our floor does not work. Telephone in our room does not work. Called the front desk from our cell phones, front desk attendant not friendly or apologetic. We come to Philly multiple times a year. Will not stay here again.

Rooms were fine. Lobby bar is nice. Connected to convention center and right across from the market. Was here for the Black Tie gala at the Philly Auto Show. Stayed on the 14th floor. Also there was some high school convention with what seemed to be hundreds of students. The elevators need to be fixed. One car kept failing (going, getting stuck, moving up an inch, getting stuck, going, stopping…). It was impossible to get an elevator to go down. Waiting 30 minutes for an elevator is too long when there are 6. It was so bad, we used the stairs, including going to the gala dressed in a gown and heels, getting run over by 50 high schoolers running late (bc they also couldn’t get down). The tip of the stay was to go up in the elevator to go down. This is ludicrous and makes the issue worse. Do not stay here if hundreds of people need to be at the same place at the same time unless you’re fine with always using the emergency stairs. Also @Marriott- if there is a big high school convention like that, please put them all together on lower floors. It was obnoxious (as we all were in hs).

On Friday night, January 27, I was meeting my boyfriend at the Marriott Downtown. We were staying overnight due to the Black Tie Tailgate Party at the PA Convention Center. When I pulled up to the Marriott things were hectic and extremely busy! I had 1/2 hour to get my belongings to my room and go to the party. Well, Tyrese from Park Towne Valet saved the night! He graciously assisted me and politely took my key fob and assured me that all would be well. Yes, I made the party and it was a great time. I want to make sure Tyrese gets commended for his kind and considerate customer service that night! He was awesome! Thanks, Tyrese!

Great location within walking distance of the Old City. The hotel is across the street from Reading Terminal Market which has many choices for delicious inexpensive meals. Starbucks is attached to the lobby. I was attending a conference here and felt safer than in most hotels as a single woman because room keys were needed to access the floors above the meeting rooms. The room was very quiet. I did not hear the elevator, nor anyone in the adjacent rooms. The room had been renovated and had a spacious bathroom with excellent lighting and a walk in shower. No tub to have to climb over! The bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping staff was excellent, especially Lisa. The doorman was exceptionally helpful and kind. I have traveled for over 60 years and tend to be picky. My one complaint is that the elevator floors and hallways were not kept as clean as I think they should be.

This one of Marriott’s premier properties in town, second in style and class only to the nearby Ritz Carlton. Regrettably, it is still not yet back to pre-pandemic service levels. Untrained staff, unnecessary alarms, no concierge lounge, front desk mistakes all characterized our stay. For a leading property, a huge disappointment. Most other Marriott’s have long since re-opened their concierge lounge. If under construction or remodeling, thoughtful managers take over a meeting room and offer a temporary location for such elite services. Not here. Nothing. Given the value of breakfast, afternoon appetizers, and drinks and snacks throughout the day (the typical offerings) not doing so is a serious decline in promised services. This hotel offered a measly 1000 points for the failure to serve. 1000 points. To come even close to compensation, it would need to be more like 10,000 points. So management just does not get it. I did not appreciate desk staff being unable to find my reservation; I did not enjoy multiple alarms going off during my Zoom meetings; I think the lack of a concierge loung is simply a leadership failure; and I was insulted by the offer of 1000 points.
