There may be friendlier and more hospitable hotels in the United States, but quite frankly we have not found them. Coupled with a great location ( in the heart of Center City ) with dining and attractions aplenty ( The Academy of Music, South Street, Independence Hall and Liberty Place Mall are all within walking distance, and if it weren't...

I booked this hotel not really knowing what to expect . It was above my expectations, high end hotel , great staff extremely helpful, walk to historic independence hall , restaurants everywhere and the steps to the subway are right out the front door , if I'm ever in Philly again I'm definitely staying here

When I arrived I was greeted by the manager, John and the guy at the front desk, David. They were both super friendly and accommodating. I had seen the reviews about the noise from the club and asked them about it. They didn't hesitate at all to secure me a room away from the club. So, if that concerns you,...

Stayed while volunteering for the election this year. Nice place - very large rooms with high ceilings. Couldn;'t comment on the breakfast as I went out - there's lots of good places for a substantial breakfast nearby. I'd recommend the Green Eggs cafe. Good location. I got in late Monday night and the staff was very helpful and accomodating in...

My wife and I shared a rather large King sized Bedroom with a very nice Shower in Philly this past weekend. The hotel was chosen by my future daughter-in-law whose wedding to my son we attended! Needless to say … we 'ruled the roost' since many of the guests stayed at this hotel. They offered a breakfast that was included...

My wife and I attended a business meeting in Philadelphia and really wanted to stay someplace 'different' and unique and not outrageously priced, as well. We found all of that and more in Center City at The Independent. They even had a parking special across the street. The room was lovely and the entire stay was out of the ordinary....

My husband and I stayed at the Independent for just one night. Overall, comfy bed and a nice large air conditioned room. We also received a complimentary breakfast which was a surprise - a choice of a yoghurt, crossiant or muffin, a piece of fruit and a juice. Only down side to this hotel is that the staff seemed to...

I stayed here for two nights with my friends over Labor Day weekend. I loved the location--in the middle of the "Gayborhood" in Philly, surrounded by some of Philly's best shops and restaurants. In terms of the room, we booked two queen beds, and the room was very modern and spacious for a city and decorated with Philly decor. The...
