We booked a room and arrived to the hotel. Due to a power outage on the block there was no electricity. The staff was very nice and apologetic. It was evening and we had to shower quickly and get to an event that night. We saw the room which had no natural light and we weren't going to be able...

Ok so first the good- I booked a Queen room and was upgraded to a King room. The staff was nice and courteous and the location of the hotel was great. Now the bad- I second the review about the room being on the second floor, in the front where it is very noisy overlooking a bar playing loud music....

The room we stayed in was very spacious, had a huge bathroom and had beautiful tall ceilings. Our room did not have a view from the windows, as we were facing the building next door, so the windows were covered and we could not see out of them. I did not mind this that much since we did pay a...

Overall I had a nice stay. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location is pretty central to a lot of great stuff. The only problem I had (which is beyond their control) is the noise level from the street below. Being in such an active location, there was a constant barrage of yelling at night, and...

Stayed here on a very cold December weekend evening and enjoyed the convenience of location in the city. The building has a historical feel with modern, boutique type decor. Room was spacious and tastefully decorated. We were out and about most of the time but did notice a cold draft from the windows and struggled to get the room temperature...

The hotel is on the second floor of the building. I was greeted quite plainly by the receptionist upon arrival (the desk is directly in front of the elevator when you get off). Room: nice room with a very large bathroom. I expected a bit larger for the price. Very simply decorated. Location: good location, about 5-10 minute walk to...

The Independent is so well decorated and welcoming. The rooms are modern with rustic features such as a keystone and exposed brick in our bathroom. The location is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy everything Center City has to offer. Close by to many theaters, amazing restaurants, and great shopping!
