Cesar and his family are excellent hosts. They easily accommodated our requests for early breakfasts and tailored the morning menu for our young grandkid’s egg allergy. The Gables is right on the trolley line so getting around on public trans is easy. Cesar provided transit passes that we could reimburse him for after our trolley rides. Lots of nice restaurants on nearby Baltimore Ave gave us plenty of walking-to-dinner options, and we also had pizza delivered one night. There’s a nearby park for kids to play and the tree-lined neighborhood is nice for walking around. We were there for UPenn’s graduation activities, which were not far from the Gables. We will return!

Another great stay at the gables. Roomy, beautiful grounds, hosts as always friendly and accommodating. Location close to a nice park and good ethnic restaurants. This is our go to place visiting relatives in Philadelphia.

Fantastic experience. Had a reunion with 10 friends and the place was perfect. The staff is friendly and attentive, and took care of us like family. The breakfast is hearty and delicious… no need for lunch! Beautiful authentic Victorian decor in an historic location. My highest recommendation.

I've stayed at the Gables properties a few times over the past several years and they never disappoint. Love the Victorian Suite at this location, with the extra room for eating takeout, watching TV. Soft bed was great for two side sleepers. Full fridge and microwave in common area make it easy to take full advantage of the great restaurants in walking distance. Eat breakfast with other cool travelers or at a table off to the side if you prefer quiet. The level of service from Cesar and family is second to none.

We had such a lovely overnight at the Gables! We felt right at home and the room and little extras were just spectacular! From the comforting care of the staff and champagne in our room to the vintage soft pillow cases and cozy room decor! What a charming Victorian home!! The shower pressure was awesome too!! My friends and I felt like we were well taken care of! We especially enjoyed the dogs! We enjoyed our stay this B&B!!!

Beautiful Victorian B&B, spotless clean rooms, just decorated so lovely! Cesar was so kind, we got directions from the Amtrak right to the B&B from him, and he checked in on us via text often should we need anything! Linda made some fantastic breakfasts, fruit and homemade pastries to start, waffles, eggs, bacon etc.. variation in the menu daily! The B&B is also right across the street from #13 Trolley that took us everywhere! We had a wonderful 3 night stay.

What a great experience! From the time I booked, the owner text me to welcome me. I was in town for. UPenn Lacrosse game. The location was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and the gourmet breakfast was out of this world! It was my birthday to, and they surprised me with a piece of homemade cake! Very special. My new go to place when in Philly!

Philadelphia is one of our country's centers of independence. The foundation of what the United States is now was forged in Philadelphia. For a visitor, nothing can be more authentic in reliving or imagining what life was like than staying at the Gables Bed & Breakfast. Every feature from the architectural details to the stairs, the furniture, and the breakfast spells a wonderful experience. The best part for us, however, was the service and the charm that we experienced from the people who want to make sure that we have a memorable stay here.
