The Loews Philadelphia Hotel garners praise for its prime location and grand ambiance, with guests particularly enjoying the comfortable rooms and festive decorations. The staff's friendliness is a highlight, although some guests have experienced lapses in professionalism and slow service. While the top-notch fitness center is a hit, travelers have noted a discrepancy between advertised and available amenities.
The cleanliness receives mixed reviews, especially after pet stays. Additionally, the value proposition is questioned due to hidden fees and perceived overcharges.

We really liked this hotel and would stay there again. The location is perfect, within a somewhat long walking distance of the historical area, near the wonderful indoor food market and transportation.
The hotel itself is attractive in a sleek modern way and the rooms are good with nice shower (no tub in 610),robes, king bed (very high if that's an issue for you), good lighting, magnifying mirror (so appreciated) room darkening shades, refrigerator, desk and large chair and very good wifi.
On the downside, there are a lot of elevators but it's impossible to get one at check out time. I hate to think what would happen in an emergency! Also on the downside is parking, which is $50 for guests. It's very difficult to get your car out when you want to go someplace. You can try calling to order it but they never answer the phone. The line for cars at checkout was VERY long, so avoid going at that time. Also, it appears they may allow pets, so check if that's an issue for you.

Our entire stay with Loews was wonderful and we wouldn't change a thing. The two top factors when booking a hotel for us are cleanliness and location and both were perfect. Sherri checked us in and was very friendly and informative, thanks Sherri! The room was clean and very comfortable. We were able to text when we needed additional towels and toiletries and they were prompt in responding. We also had a later flight out and since it was a weekend the concierge stored our luggage until we had to catch our flight. Note, some places do not have a concierge service because of COVID, I suggest you call the hotel directly before booking if you need special services. We felt they did a wonderful job with COVID protocol too. Traveling as a mother/daughter trip we felt very safe staying at Loews.

We stayed at this hotel on February 15th for one night to attend the wedding of a friend.
The wedding started at 5 and we called early in the morning to ask for early check-in. They said they couldn’t do early checkin but said that if we arrived early that they would be able to get us into a room so that we could quickly freshen up for the wedding.
When we arrived at the hotel they didn’t have any rooms available yet. At 4pm, which is their stated checkin time, they still didn’t have any rooms available. Ultimately they couldn’t get us into a room before leaving for the wedding. We had to get ready in someone else’s room.
When we returned to the hotel at 11:30pm they had a room for us. We got to the room and the carpet was damp. I called the front desk and they apologized and said that the carpet had been recently shampooed. Why they felt it was appropriate to give us a room that wasn’t ready for use is beyond me. They offered us a late checkout as compensation, which we didn’t need. We finally agreed on free valet parking.
It was late and we were partially undressed, tired, and probably a little inebriated. We weren’t in the mood to change rooms at that point.
The point of this review is that this hotel did not seem to handle the large number of guests this weekend and did a very bad job of addressing our concerns and compensating is for a room that was not acceptable to be offered to guests.

We stayed at the Philadelphia Loews from 12/30/21 to 1/2/22. I understand that we can blame Covid, but for the money our stay was a big disappointment. Room was dirty. Their was enough hair on the bathroom floor to make a rug. End tables and desk tops covered in finger prints and smudges. Staff not very friendly. Don’t get a Starbucks or donut and consume it in the lobby, when any of their restaurants are open because security will kick you out and tell you you have to go to your room. If you order a beverage at the lobby bar make sure you hold on to it. They are very diligent about picking up any glassware up. If your talking and not paying attention they will clear your beverages regardless if it’s half full, full or you had a few sips left. I understand once or maybe twice by mistake but it happened to us four times. You spend $15 on a crappy glass of wine and if you’re not careful they grab it a dump it. Not offer to replace. We had friends and family with us there. I haven’t heard any favorable feedback.

We had the extreme pleasure of staying here recently, booking our room through the Visit Philly Overnight promotion, which gave us a discounted rate, free valet parking and a package of useful discounts. The room itself was beautiful and perfectly equipped, and the view from the 25th floor was breathtaking. All the polite and helpful employees were focused on personal service. And the valet service was always lightning quick. You'll never regret staying here.

This was my second trip to Philly, so I wanted to stay central to downtown. Loews offered a very competitive price and we were happy with the accommodations. On arrival, we were dripping wet from the rain but were met warmly at check-in (we even laughed about it). Since traveling during covid, we felt the hotel exercised good hygiene practices. Housekeeping was not allowed in the room unless requested and there were sanitation stations on every floor. Overall, service were great, free wi-fi was free and reliable, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. We used valet for 2 nights and they were most helpful. I can't speak to any hygiene practices there, but we wore masks and carried hand sanitizer. TIP: Visit the 33rd floor for nice city views! I would stay here again!

The Loews Philadelphia Hotel is conveniently located near the Convention center and SEPTA Jefferson Station. The staff are friendly. Its facilities and rooms are upbeat, clean, and comfortable. The fitness center deserves 5G's with its full suite of TechnoGym equipment. From these auspicious beginnings however, the road leads downhill.
A morning breakfast in the hotel restaurant took 90 minutes with too many mistakes to mention. The food was delicious but only after it arrived, by which time one could have fallen asleep. Plain pancakes arrived as blueberry, and the list goes on.
There is no lounge for quiet conversation, or for reading a book, only the restaurant bar. When we inquired, we were directed to two chairs sitting outside the fitness center. Room service was cancelled on the weekend we stayed for reasons that were not apparent. There was no concierge. The front desk personnel knew nothing about local attractions or restaurants. They were unable to hail us a taxi from the Museum Of Art back to the hotel. They did not accommodate our request for late check out.
We used to rank Loews in our Luxury Tier along with Mandarin Oriental and Ritz-Carlton but that is simply no longer possible. On our next visit, we want to try the Hotel Monaco or the Rittenhouse.

Valet parking was great, no issues with front desk or check-in. Doors to Market st were blocked off, forcing us to come in and out through the valet. The side street we walked down made me a little nervous with my older mom and young daughter. The little cafe where we could get breakfast (choice of 2 hot sandwiches) had no bread or pastries of any kind. We were told they didn’t get any that day. 🤷‍♀️ We saw a number of people buying overpriced breakfast bars and snacks just for something to eat. We checked our bags for a few hours after checkout, no problems with bellman or getting our car. The hotel was clean and decorated nicely.

Check-in , valet were both quick and easy with friendly staff. This was our first stay at Loews, and I fell in love with the room and view as soon as I walked in, thinking, this could be our go to hotel for all our future trips to the city. Much to my disappoint, however, the room had several dirty/questionable run down areas of concern. Immediately upon opening the door before even walking in, there was a blueberry, or some other kind of fruit, that someone had stepped on and left the flesh reminants and at least 10 blueberry spots trailing from the door to the trash can. These spots were not old carpet stains, since I was able to wipe the chunk and spots easily with a baby wipe. This left me wondering if something obviously so visible was left dirty, what else was dirty? The sink had several spider cracks in it, there was torn cardboard by the lounge chair, a stain under the curtain that looked like a dog had peed there, certain items in the room had a visible layer of dust, the bathroom handle came right off when my daughter when to open the door, the desk chair threading was loose and hanging by 6 inches, and the edge of dresser was worn and chipping. I know COVID has left many places short staffed, with the quality of product being compromised, but the room had an amazing view and it is a 4 star resort after all, so I granted Loews much grace and chose not to complain about the cleanliness and run down issues in the room. However the next morning, when I was sitting on the chair to put my shoes on, I noticed a stain with residue on the side of the bed sheet, which indicates the sheets were not changed!!!! To boot, the residue/stain dribbled down the side of the sheet looked like some form of yellow/brownish fecal matter!!! Sorry Loews, but your 4 star rating has lost its luster to me, as well as my trust that the hotel is taking "extra precautions" and cleaning during this time of COVID, considering it's not even taking regular cleaning like sheets changes, spot cleaning of the floor, and thorough vacuuming.

I do not remember seeing pets there during my stay. I would suggest just calling the front desk. I looked on the website and didn’t see any mention of pets either.
